If you don't like the direction

Ehh they said Rick Pitino would never win with his style in the SEC

which is basically the same.

Nolan Richardson did the same at Arkansas.

It's a much better style than what we have now and he's won at a great clip.

Give him Indiana resources and some studs and see if it transfers over.

He's got a 76% career winning percentage, he's only finished lower than

2nd two times in his 5 years (his first 2 years) and is currently first in his sixth year, he's only missed the NCAA tourney once in his career (his first year) and he's made it past the first round every year he's been in the tourney.

Including the one final four.

Currently stands at 17 - 3, 7 - 0 in the A10 and ranked 18th (higher than us even though we are a basketball name....VCU has no basketball history).

I'd be more than willing to give him five years to see what he could do.

Until he coaches in the big east or big ten

he would not have those same winning percentages. I think he is a very good coach but I just don't think he would be that big of an upgrade because I don't think that style would work in the big ten full time.

Re: Just going by what I heard on CBS

What would[/I] it take for him to leave?

"I don't know," Marshall told ESPN.com this week. "But I'm very happy here. It would take something really big."

I have linked this article many times for both you and jimtv,

Re: Until he coaches in the big east or big ten

Hard o get an apples to apples comparison on winning percentages...the best you you can do is hire someone who has done as good as possible in whatever situation he is currently in. If you are going to hire a mid major coach you get one that has dominated if possible..like Shaka. Thats where IU screwed up with TC, he had middling success at MU but was treated as if he was dominating

Your opinion on pressing is just that an opinion, and you are allowed to voice that opinion

...even though Davis failing at Iowa isn't exactly a top notch defense

I believed you

but I hadn't see that article but what I was going on was a round table discussion with the broadcasters during the tournament.

I wouldn't be upset with Smart

and of course it is just my opinion but I think that style during a 18 game conference schedule might not be as effective as it is at VCU.
