Not if you listen to his press conference. He said he was provoked by Howard. And he fails to mention when he was “attempting” to explain to Howard that he grabbed his arm. My favorite is how the AD for Wisconsin references “clear video” showing the “incident”. Apparently the video didn’t capture the #GardGrab and escaped Gards memory. These guys are pathetic. Zero accountability. Gard claims to have called the timeout to save his reserves from having a turnover due to only having 4 seconds to get it across the timeline and not have a turnover. Said he just can’t put his players in that position. In fact, Gard goes as far to say it was actually the ref who mentioned to him the timeout. Howard should have gone after the ref. It’s clearly his fault. Grown men here folks. Zero accountability and honesty. Screw both of them. Gard is a putz.

Davis is an underrated Asshat. He is awesome and backs it up, and I love those types of players.... That being said, after the IU game he waved to the fans and yelled pussys very loud, I am not really for being a dumbass after the game.

I am speaking with sarcasm. Gard is a little bitch and his team plays dirty and he is the leader allowing and perpetuating it. There is nothing excusable about any of this. Howard behaved like a thug and Gard is the small little man who instigated it all and embraces his teams dirty play. I hope both coaches get the book thrown at them and in the case of Howard, this is 2x now he’s gone off toward another coach.
Throw in Davison saying “Eff you” to the fans and our bench and you get a good picture of the character of folks we are dealing with. And the coach who allows it to go on and probably encourages it.
When I’m walking past you in a handshake line, I’d be kinda expecting to be grabbed. It happens all the time.
For sure, you don't grab someone that clearly is beyond pissed at you.
I have seen this happen a million times. A simple grab starts the fight. You dont lay your hand on people, I dont care if it was a handshake line, Juwan was walking by and was pissed. Gard wanted to stop him and grabbed him. Should not have done that.
