Gard should have let him. One thing led to another and Juwan should be done at Michigan. But Gard played a role in the escalation and should be penalized accordingly.

I honestly wouldn’t have minded if Stew decked Brad. I actually kind of wanted him to. Stew is a player tho. I do believe like Nick Wright said this morning that the main 4 high level sports are not close to a normal work environment and emotions are on the verge of violence constantly. That is part of sports.
The coach, especially in college has to be the leader tho. It is totally understandable to me why players get into fights from time to time, part of the game. Obviously suspensions are always warranted. The coach has 0 business, ever. I think he sits for the year and has to take anger management classes.
Which he is entitled to do. If you see me acting up in a grocery (say not wearing a mask during the pandemic) and tell me, "hey, you need to stop that" and I walk up and grab your arm so that I can "explain" why you need to STFU, you are basically saying I have that right since you chose to talk to me.
If it would not be right in the grocery, it should not be right on the court. And Howard deserves his punishment but acting like Gard and Wisconsin were innocent bystanders here is just laughable. If Gard kept his hands off the other coach, they blow past each other and none of this happens.
