You may recall Gov. Eric Greitens admitted having an affair while his wife was pregnant, shortly before he became governor. Well, the woman he had an affair with accused him of taking nude pictures of her while she was blindfolded, without her consent, and threatening to make them public if she ever revealed the affair. He denied the accusation.

Today, he was indicted on felony invasion of privacy charges.

Based on the men I know, most affairs tend or most likely to happen during pregnancy or post birth. Its almost cliche-ish. Women do it in late 30s or early 40s.

Problem with men who get married before they are emotionally mature is that they tend to mix up sex and love. You blame socialisation for this.

He has a right to a fair trial and all that but he should seriously resign.

By all means let’s keep electing guys based on military experience as a lone qualification.

The ads here in PA are ludicrous. Some Air Force acts like he’s gonna Chuck Norris roundhouse kick DC because he was in the Air Force.

Agreed. And I find it even more despicable when prosthetics are prominently featured in campaign ads as a play for votes.

I was shocked to find out the party of family values struck again. Just another day protecting the sanctity of marriage.

The GOP seems determined to increase the Dem's Senate majority. At least the Trump wing does...

Greitens barely won initially- not sure any non-Trumpers will make THAT mistake twice...
And McCory is going to run to replace Burr in NC. He'll have to try and out Trump Lara Trump in the primary, and then try and pivot enough to win a Senate seat in a state he lost as an incumbent Governor in 2016 when Trump won the state by nearly 3%.

Trump's 2016 margin was basically cut in half in 2020, Burr voted to convict Trump, and the GOP is pushing Trumpsters to fight for Burr's open seat? Sure sounds like the GOP has a real pulse on the way the NC electorate is trending DWS...

You must hang around with some real scumbags.

I'm sure she allowed herself to be blindfolded and didn know he was taking pictures.....

And what incredible timing - when he's running for Senate.

Hey, whatever happened to that Cuomo dude and all his accusers? Funny how you dont hear about that anymore, huh?
Cuomo is still in the news, dumbass. Maybe stop making assumptions based on your fantasy inferiority complex.

Bullshit. You don't hear shit about Cuomo and his leachery anymore.

I realize you only care about bashing Republicans, but try not to wet yourself when a story comes out trying to ruin someone's Senate run.

I'm really confused by your confusion here. Greitens was Indicted while he was the sitting Governor, and even though Goat's link heading mentions "today", it's actually a story from 2018...

There is no "story that came out" other than announcing that Jr's girlfriend who did such a marvelous job advising Trump is now advising Greitens. Maybe you're confused because this is an OLD thread, but the story was news in early 2018, and Greitens resigned in May 2018, about 1 1/2 yrs into his term as Missouri Governor...

"But on Tuesday, Mr. Greitens abruptly resigned, more than four months into a scandal involving a sexual relationship with his former hairdresser and claims that he had taken an explicit photograph of her without her permission. He was also accused by prosecutors of misusing his charity’s donor list for political purposes.

Defiant but somber, Mr. Greitens, who was voted into office in 2016, insisted that he had committed no crimes or “any offense worthy of this treatment.” He described “legal harassment of colleagues, friends and campaign workers” and said “it’s clear that for the forces that oppose us that there is no end in sight.”

“This ordeal has been designed to cause an incredible amount of strain on my family,” Mr. Greitens said. He added: “I cannot allow those forces to continue to cause pain and difficulty to the people that I love.”

Greitens decided within the past couple weeks to run for Senate, and Goat posted that Guilfoyle had been named his National Campaign Chairman. Again Goat (mistakenly) labeled his link "Today" which made you assume it was a NEW story, but Goat was actually just commenting on the choice of Guilfoyle...

This line from you
"but try not to wet yourself when a story comes out trying to ruin someone's Senate run."

makes it seem as if you are not aware of the actual situation, and completely leaped to (ridiculous) conclusions. I pointed out that Greitens won on Trump's coattails in 2016 as he won by 5% while Trump won the state by nearly 19%. Since Trump's margin in Missouri in 2020 dropped to 15%, I'd say it's pretty risky for the GOP to nominate a disgraced former Gov (who resigned after being Indicted) to fill the seat of the relatively moderate Roy Blunt.

And btw, most of the Top Dems in NY have urged Cuomo to resign...

I thought this was The Onion, but then I figured The Onion would have went with Tomi Lahren.

That wasn't me. I started this thread two years ago, when "today" was "today." Spartans resurrected it with the Guilfoyle news.

Fox only does negative stories about Dems, CNN and NBC only about Pubs.

i can only assume there is some law mandating this, as other wise it would make zero sense for news organizations to behave this way, being it would taint literally everything they did as biased.

therefore if Cuomo isn't getting hit hard enough by the press in your estimation, blame the RNC press.

that's not the DNC press's job.

A newspaper in a very mild breeze could clear that hurdle.
My sincere apologies for the rampant mischaracterization...

I got totally confused reading what Spartan posted where he quoted your headline from 2 yrs ago combined with the DANC factor. I guess I just couldn't wrap my head around the fact that DANC was totally unaware of Greiten's history and was outspoken in his rush to accuse the press of "sabotaging" Greiten's Senate run.

If I'm totally stupid on a particular topic I avoid it like the plague. I'm perfectly capable of displaying my foibles on my own without trying to talk about something I'm ignorant about and revealing my lack of education on a subject to the entire world...

A primary between this guy and Greitens feels so, so right given what the GOP has become
It’s actually worse than that in result. Because of the primary process and Missouri’s consistent move more and more right, one of these idiots could be a Senator. A US Senator. There are only 100 of them and they used to be very serious people, statesmen even. Now they troll on Twitter and generally act like fools. Come on GOP. Do better.

Missouri is 50/50. The city sent a far left progressive to the house and last week stl elected a defund the police blm mayor.

What about statewide offices?
A mix. McCloskey was being prosecuted by a blm prosecutor who got removed from the case for using the prosecution of them to fund raise. So now I’m sure McCloskey thinks he can parlay this into a cash cow fros the gun toting repubs willing to donate to him. It’s all insanity here. Tho k of the very worst of the far left, a bunch of young Maxine waters (Bush), and the very worst of the insane far right (Hawley) and that’s MO.

It looks like the only D that won a statewide election is the auditor. And Hawley shows Missouri will vote for anyone with an R next the name on the ballot. That was my point.

Hawley best D mccaskill in 2019. Rural vs cities.

Right. And the Ds will not win a Senate seat in Missouri for a long long time.
I don’t know. Maybe. They just lost one in 2019. Depends who. If it’s like cori bush or the new mayor correct. Zero chance. But if a Centrist type emerges maybe. I think the extremes will see some blow back in the coming years. Everyone I know, all repubs, hate Hawley.

It’s the same in Indiana. We had a recent D US Senator who lost by a large margin to a new GOP nominee. Now there are zero Ds holding statewide office in Indiana. Like Missouri, Indiana keeps moving further right. We used to elect D Governors. Now a D has zero chance of holding that office or any statewide office.
