I think by Coach Knight's analogy though crass, did show how he felt about how he was treated by the media. Language is all about communicating and he did do that.

If so....anyone with a triple digit IQ would know that such a comment is not going to be accepted in modern society, regardless of how you explain the analogy. He should have known better than to go there.

I agree it was crass. But how did Connie Chung spin this and how did the media spin this comment by Coach Knight? If they spin it like he is talking about actual rape then they are actually making the point Coach Knight made by the analogy. If you are on the good side of the media you could say or do all kinds of things and they will carry the water for ya. Of course the opposite is true too.
I understood RMK's point. But there are some topics you just don't use if you are wanting to make a point. Rape...Hitler....as soon as you drop those words, you're going to lose the PR battle regardless of the logic. People stop listening to the point you're trying to make.
Its accepted all over the place today....just listen to rap music for a few minutes....

Did you ever wonder who Hitler would choose as an example of someone who is completely evil? I would guess it would be a Jew but it could have been someone else. Maybe Genghis Khan?
I think he suffered from some rather serious mental illness for much of his life. And surrounded himself with people (Goebbels, Himmler) that were even slightly more evil than he was. But that's about the extent of the deep dive I've ever tried taking into the mind of Hitler.

The media marriage between the Indy Star and the WNBA/Caitlyn Clark era needs an annulment. Doyel burned a bridge that didn't belong to him. Thats why he needs to go. The Clark/Indy story needed a really good start..not just for the Fever, but for the WNBA, which already cannot support itself. He damaged his employer's brand. No way to fix that.
Doyle's comment, if analogous to a sandwich, is a nothing burger. Those making it a bigger issue than it needs to be, if analogous to precipitation, are snowflakes in the month of February. It was a glib comment thrown out in jest, meant to be innocuous. Get over it.
