If they lose, everyone will wonder if another prosecutor could have landed the ship.Yeah, I know, I know. Terrible optics, questionable ethics, but I don't see how it directly affects the case.
Reminds me of how stupid HRC was with her email stuff.
I disagreeDemocrats are stupid
You don't even have to go back that far. Remember when the 2020 US Senate candidate in NC, who was a heavy favorite was exposed for having an affair 2 or weeks before the 2020 election? It's like some of these people have shit for brains and ruin their careers over something that stupid...Yeah, I know, I know. Terrible optics, questionable ethics, but I don't see how it directly affects the case.

Anyone want to make a DEI joke?Holy shit. She farmed this case - - the highest profile RICO case in US history - - out to an attorney (allegedly her boyfriend, and she's been subpoenaed to testify in his divorce proceedings which suggests an extramarital affair) with little prosecutorial experience who then proceeds to bill her office up the wazoo including one day where he billed the full 24 hours. And then he reportedly takes her on lavish vacations with the fruits of his hefty invoices. Way to f*ck things up, Fani.
His criminality can not be allowed to go unaddressed, even if it's not a political winner. The stupidity of even pursuing any of the Trump cases shows how out of touch the Dem party is.
Have given nothing but oxygen to Trump, yet again.
Disagree. The only one that was dumb to indict was the New York hush money case. The other three are strong cases reflecting clear criminal wrongdoing. The election subversion case goes to the essence of our democracy. I'm with Mark. You can't let this guy off the hook. The stupidity of even pursuing any of the Trump cases shows how out of touch the Dem party is.
Have given nothing but oxygen to Trump, yet again.
I agree that these cases (three out of four of them anyway) needed to be prosecuted, and I think the DC case and the documents case are exceptionally strong and will lead to convictions. I felt good about the Georgia case until today. This development isn't fatal but I don't see how Willis' involvement in the case can continue. There are, at a minimum, ethics/professional responsibility violations here, and maybe worse. His criminality can not be allowed to go unaddressed, even if it's not a political winner.
She can be removed (should resign completely) a special prosecutor appointed and it’ll go forward. Happens with stupid people. Same as the idiot political prosecutor here and mccloskey. His criminality can not be allowed to go unaddressed, even if it's not a political winner.
DEI is always the joke. Hunter Biden didn’t use DEI when he marched up to Winston & Strawn to retain a lawyer. Shocker….Anyone want to make a DEI joke?
In fact this may be worse for trump. Remove this clown show and a competent prosecutor enter. Altho it’ll likely be cause for more continuancesHis criminality can not be allowed to go unaddressed, even if it's not a political winner.
It’s bc they aren’t likable. They’re full of shit. All the virtue signaling bs but when the prez’s son is in trouble he hires a 71 yr old white man from an Ivy League law schoolOnly Democrats can make Trump likable enough to win.
The stupidity of even pursuing any of the Trump cases shows how out of touch the Dem party is.

My predictionThe stupidity of even pursuing any of the Trump cases shows how out of touch the Dem party is.
Have given nothing but oxygen to Trump, yet again.prediction
If they run Biden they deserve to lose. He’s obviously unfit to be President. If he is the nominee it shows his handlers are a bunch of power hungry assholes. It’s bc they aren’t likable. I’d drill down in her White House visits. She should be required to be deposed about who she saw at the WH and what they discussed. Then depose the WH staff she saw, even the big guy. The public ought to know every detail about the political motivation that may have prompted this prosecution. This is even worse because she charged others who worked in the White House and Biden played hanky lanky with official privileges. In fact this may be worse for trump. Remove this clown show and a competent prosecutor enter. Altho it’ll likely be cause for more continuances
Isn’t this the prosecutor sope was so proud of. Good grief. Clown show. But again a special can be appointed and trump’s wrongdoing is his wrongdoing. Prosecutorial discretion that would ostensibly be undermined by political motivation is removed from doubt when the evidence supporting an indictment and prosecution stands. She can be politically motivated AND he engaged in criminality.I’d drill down in her White House visits. She should be required to be deposed about who she saw at the WH and what they discussed. Oh and I’ve had friends do 9 week fed crim trials on appointments and not make a fraction of $650k. F’d upI’d drill down in her White House visits. Politically motivated prosecutions is misconduct. prosecutorial misconduct that rises to the level of denial of due process or denial of a fair trial can be grounds to dismiss the charges. I agree this is a tough row to hoe on these facts. As you note, Trump will use it at his rallies.Isn’t this the prosecutor sope was so proud of. Good grief. Clown show. This may look good in the newspaper but doesn’t benefit trump in court
I disagree on the documents. Taking the documents and intentionally trying to evade returning them is very serious. Taking them alone is a problem for me but there is a long list of "no harm no foul" if returned so that is the standard anyone/everyone should be held to.The stupidity of even pursuing any of the Trump cases shows how out of touch the Dem party is.

48 boxes of no harm, no foul.Taking them alone is a problem for me but there is a long list of "no harm no foul" if returned
This Wade guy sounds like a hack. You're going after the former President--if your office doesn't have the fire power (I highly doubt that), go get a top notch former fed prosecutor from Alston Bird or King & Spaulding. Weird. If they lose, everyone will wonder if another prosecutor could have landed the ship.
A change of venue to nearby rural counties is the 2nd thing you move for. The first is dismissal of all charges in the original venue with prejudice. Misconduct at that kevel and to that extent arguably makes it impossible seat a jury that is completely without any bias.Politically motivated prosecutions is misconduct. prosecutorial misconduct that rises to the level of denial of due process or denial of a fair trial can be grounds to dismiss the charges. The federal Trump cases are not Democrat endeavors. That's purely Trump and Trumpster spin. The stupidity of even pursuing any of the Trump cases shows how out of touch the Dem party is.

The document case is a fool proof test of hypocrisy. Everyone that wanted to lock up HRC for her grossly negligent handling of classified information in her unauthorized and non-secure private email server (and I also believe she was guilty per the wording of the law) but defends Trump for deliberately mishandling hundreds of highly classified documents is a flat-out hypocrite. That's a fact, not an opinion.I disagree on the documents. Taking the documents and intentionally trying to evade returning them is very serious. They are being inconsistent, not hypocritical, unless they are attacking those arguing in favor of the a Trump prosecution. The document case is a fool proof test of hypocrisy. They hypocritically have said it’s basically a nothing burger. They’ve hypocritically been unconcerned with mishandling classified information. HRC met the gross negligence standard in the law but Trump was deliberate, it involved many times more information and he refused to properly secure it it return it. It’s far more egregious but people hypocritically defend him for it.They are being inconsistent, not hypocritical, unless they are attacking those arguing in favor of the a Trump prosecution.

I’d undoubtedly still be in Ft Leavenworth prison if I’d done what Trump has done while I was active duty.
She deliberately violated policy by doing email on her private server. There’s no evidence that she deliberately mishandled classified information on the private server. Someone on her staff had to have deliberately done that because the most highly classified information could have only been accessed in a very secure facility. I do think HRC should have recognized that some of that information was highly classified. The careless handling of classified information by elected and appointed civilians is appalling.A few comments.
HRC was also deliberate.
The Presidential Records Act gives Trump an argument that neither HRC nor Biden had.
The records case is the only one that should go forward. We need the court to weigh in on some ambiguities.
I’m not so sure of that aloha. I wouldn’t at all be surprised to see him get offShe deliberately violated policy by doing email on her private server. Trump is going to lose the document case yugely. I think it’s the biggest slam dunk of all his cases. It’s the one I actually care most about. We must fix mishandling of classified information by these elected and appointed bozos. Why should these idiots be given a pass on this when no military person would be given?
