McAfee is up for election. That explains his excessive caution.
He's a Republican, member of the Federallist Society who was appointed by Bryan Kemp.
It might go away if a prosecutor without an agenda was put in.
Or maybe a very competent person would never have brought the charges in the first place. That's what the Dems are really afraid of.
RICO, my ass.
RICO, my ass.
So what "agenda" do you think FW had?She took office on Jan 1, 2021 and the very next day Trump made his infamous call to Raffensberger. Nobody knew that Trump was going to act the fool and start breaking GA law. Clearly Raffensberger had some unease, which is why he taped his call with Trump to protect himself.
Btw, how do you think Willis found about the call in the first place? The call took place on Jan 2, 4 days prior to the riots on Jan 6. Debunked lies about dead people voting in GA is a key element of Trump's Jan 6 speech inciting his followers to riot...
"Jan 6 Trump and allies, including Giuliani, give speeches during a Washington, D.C. rally. They repeatedly invoke election falsehoods about Georgia and other states, including the bogus claim that more than 10,000 votes in Georgia were cast on behalf of dead people. Many in the crowd then
proceed to the U.S. Capitol, which becomes the site of a
deadly riot.
The presidential election is certified later that night, but Georgia Rep. Jody Hice
objects to the inclusion of Georgia's votes in Biden's favor.
Jan. 7: A Republican official is
captured on surveillance video escorting computer and data experts into an elections office in Coffee County, Georgia, before an apparent breach of the county's voting systems.
Jan. 18: A different Republican official is seen
granting other data experts access to the office.
Feb. 11: Willis
sends letters to Kemp, Raffensperger and Carr requesting they preserve documents related to a "matter…of high priority" her office is investigating. Sources in Kemp's and Raffensperger's offices confirm to CBS News the matter is Trump's Jan. 2, 2021 phone call."
Everyone knows that if it was a dem engaging in this behavior you'd be calling for their execution. As you can see FW did not have an agenda to "get Trump". He just chose to be involved in various illegal activities right under her nose. She ran in the 2020 election just like Trump, so to claim she had an agenda to get Trump and she ran on that is ridiculous.
She didn't even take office until Jan 1, but in the time leading up to her assuming her role Trump and Rudy were busy running roughshod over various GA laws. It was only after she began investigating and then convened the special Grand Jury in early 2022, that many of the crimes were uncovered. She initially started out investigating the call, but as is often the case that investigation uncovered additional criminal behavior
Btw she didn't hire Wade until Nov 21 2021, so nearly a full year after she took office. And it was only after hiring Wade after offering the position to others who turned it down that Wade even entered the picture.
Wade wasn't hired to argue the case in court but rather to do the behind the scenes legwork to prep the case for the Grand Jury. FW had run on a platform of attacking drug gangs and she had another ongoing RICO investigation that occupied her time and she needed help. She offered the position to a former Gov of GA but he turned her down, which he testified to in the recent show trial. So Wade wasn't even her first choice...
Your claim that a "competent" prosecutor with "no agenda" might not pursue this case is preposterous. There were like 40 or 50 witnesses who appeared before the Grand Juries, including both Kemp and Raffensberger so the idea that the charges are unsubstantiated are ridiculous. Two seperate Grand Juries felt that there was enough to warrant indictments. Doesn't prove that Trump and his gang are guilty and they might be acquited. But the fact that 4 of the co-defendants have already plead out means there was enough there for them to avoid the risk of facing a jury.
