another elementary school shooting

**** cnn for interviewing a damn 11 year old about this horrible act.
The media is garbage. We don't need to hear interviews from 11 year olds. I like how in sports they stopped showing the prick who runs onto the field.

Frankly, I am appalled by the way the media has handled the event. For Fox News, attacking the police may their way of deflecting attention away from the real issue, the real problem, and the needed solution. For the others, It could be a variety of reasons, let's face it, they are all nuts. The very last people I would attack are the officers who actually had to deal with that horrific situation.
I live in rural Texas. The police, constables, and sheriff deputies I have met are great people. However, I don't know that any of the officers are equipped to handle a mass shooting....who the fu** is? I do know that I would rather have any of the officers I have met, here in Texas, deal with such a situation rather than Tucker Carlson, Jessie Waters, Sean Hannity or any other of the "talking heads" on Fox. Those pu**ies would be as worthless as "tits on a boar".
Being an "arm-chair quarter-back" has always been an easy job for those "that can't do" and media bastards make it an art form.

I agree it would work, but to what extent and at what trade off?

I don’t prefer an Aussie/ ChiComm style society where jackboots can force me to stay in my home the next time we have a bad flu season.

Are you talking about simply a ban of semi-automatic rifles? That would maybe drop the death toll slightly on these mass shootings, but wouldn’t really do much for overall gun deaths.

Or a ban of all guns? In that the case see Aussie/ ChiComm comment.

You don’t want 2024 Trump coming door to door making MAGA purity checks on an unarmed society any more than I want the Fauci police telling me I must take the MonkeyPox vaccine.

Every autocrat whoever was an autocrat, first went for guns.

Or do you think the tyrannical government angle is played out and not relevant anymore?
Let's start with reconsidering the federal assault weapons ban that was in effect from 1994 to 2004. That didn't cause a notable increase in jackboots. It may not significantly impact crime (a national gun registry could help there), but anything to start getting these weapons off the streets is overdue.

As I pointed out, it only takes 1 Oklahoma city to equal 15 Uvaldes.

But feel free to ignore that little tidbit.
So let’s eliminate the 15 Ulvaldes - I’m sure 250 families would appreciate it!

This story just keeps getting worse and worse. I know it hits parents of school age kids and teachers especially. I have thought of nothing else since Tuesday. It’s bad enough for a tragedy but then to always wonder if your child could have been saved. Man…
How can those cops live without extreme guilt?

I don’t think they can. And that teacher … I just saw this on twitter and it made me cry. Again.
Mom talking to her 8 year old son who questioned why the police didn’t go in. Mom said because they were scared. She then said the teachers tried to protect their kids. And he said of course they did. They love us. My heart. .

Can we force the cops to do a GoT style walk of shame? Seems like the right thing to do

Ephesians calls for husband's to love their wives as their own bodies, so I interpret that as it's ok to defend oneself and spouse.

Not sure if that answers your cute little Twitter cartoon, but thought I would share.
I'm not sure how you came up with the interpretation. In Paul's writings he is defining the relationship between man, woman & Christ, the Church.

Meet the guy who made the bad call about the active shooter. Seems like a well-qualified officer who just messed up. He was elected to city council a few weeks ago. I feel sorry for him and the teacher who left tge door open.

“My experience with budget management for well over 20 years has trained me to protect your valuable taxpayer dollars."

Sounds like a pencil pusher to me.

Cowardice doesn't make one a bad or good person. This guy didn't want the blood of his officers on his hands, so he prefered to let a killer loose for an hour in a classroom filled with dying children.

I'm sure he'll justify it as a 'bad decision' but it was a helluva lot more than that.

Great! Register all guns, surveillance of internet, stringent background checks, wait time to purchase, elimination of large magazine guns (minimal exceptions)

I’m not in law enforcement - I would let them do it if you are in violation of the law! I think you would be on the losing side.

Too bad these punks can't be put in an adult prison and experience what incarceration is really like.

Get them to a mental health care facility and keep them there until they lose their attitude.

Most of this school violence is copy-cat shit. Time to start making it real for anyone making even a remote threat about mass shootings.

A 5th grader in Fla just got arrested for texting about doing it. Let that sink in
