Pretty much everything said at the beginning has been wrong. Authorities are under pressure to get info out, I understand that. But they can't be as wrong as they have been here.
Which is why I generally don't comment on these events for 2 to 3 days. The initial reports are almost always wrong on major points.
Yeah, it seems they've been wrong at every turn here. I would think there would be film in the school so if the teacher had closed the door it was going to come out that she had. Why they would say otherwise is beyond dumb.

Authorities need to determine how this kid got the money...and then act as appropriate.
He had dropped out of school, had a job, and lived at home (Mom or Grandma) right? It was probably his money.

My 15 year old has about a grand in her savings that she's saved up since last year from her job. She makes 11.50 as a host at a small restaurant. Again, she's 15 and works like 4 hours a day, 2 days a week, 3 days sometimes during the summer.
With no bills and a goal, it's not hard to save up.
I've purchased a few guns like the one he used and they run anywhere from 1500-2000, the ammo at its cheapest $1 a round (I have read where he had 1600 rounds?) the pistol at minimum probably $300 and ammo for that, the vest I would say $800 so I was a bit off, it was probably more like $5000.00
I manage/oversee 8 branches of a bank which accounts for approximately 1000+ accounts for minors, I would say the average balance in those accounts runs about $60.00. Your daughter is fortunate and sounds as if she is being raised correctly she probably represents about 5% of kids her age.
The timing of when things happen should always be looked at, the NRA convention may have triggered his move and he used the $5000-6000 he has been hard at work saving to go arm up and do what he did?
