Another assassination attempt at Trump

Well let’s see. Just because you hear gunfire doesn’t necessarily mean he was shooting at a specific person. So before you say since it’s Orange Jesus so the fix is in, how about we wait and see how it plays out. You do realize that Florida is a Trump supporting state right? Also, the guy’s undergoing a psychiatric evaluation first and that the original charges can be elevated once all the facts and motivations are known. Lord, do you see a conspiracy when it rains too?
GLOBAL WARMING!!!!

Oh, that's right - they're there legally because they were flown here on the taxpayer's dime. To be put into the social welfare system.

And yeah, that's what I got from those links. Nothing about Trump or Vance, other than in your imagination.

I believe Springfield wanted immigrants. The town was desperate so much for jobs that it oversold and didn't have enough labor. They wanted immigrants. Because of the Visa the Haitians are on, they can work.

Once home to major agricultural machinery companies in the mid-20th century, Springfield has lost a quarter of its population since the 1960s.
“They came to us for one reason: they were looking for ways to find out how to work,” Casey Rollins, executive director of the St Vincent de Paul Society’s Springfield chapter, said of those who came to the Ohio city from Haiti.
“So we got together immigration lawyers and interpreters to figure out how to help them work. We are getting them online and getting them to apply [for work permits]. We wanted workers here [in Springfield] – they want to work.”

Haitians in Florida, Haiti and South America heard from friends and family about Springfield and its need for workers. They began arriving to take jobs in warehouses, manufacturing and the service sector, and employers urged the new workers to encourage other Haitians to join them.

Yes, they have arrived in numbers too large for a smaller town. So DeWine is sending assistance, and the feds should. Below is a DeWine quote:

"These Haitians came in here to work because there were jobs, and they filled a lot of jobs," DeWine told CBS News in an interview Wednesday. "And if you talk to employers, they've done a very, very good job and they work very, very hard."

So unless that quote is made up, DeWine is proving that the employers want the immigrants. Springfield went from 80,000 to 60,000 before the immigrants, towns losing that much population is a big problem in its own right.

I don't have a good solution to right-sizing legal immigration, and they are here legally. Maybe they are allowed into a community after finding work guaranteeing they don't overstrip available jobs. I don't know. But it is clear that many in Springfield wanted at least some of this. The question isn't how to stop foreigners from coming in, it is how to get good hard working immigrants and how to stop them all from going to the same place. It sounds like DeWine is saying they work hard, so the first part is complete.

I suppose they could come on a raft.

I'm sure the Haitians that came here and live on the US social services were able to buy their own plane ticket.......
If you look up the particulars of the program, in order to qualify, you need to have a sponsor already living in the country (the sponsor can be another member of the program that is already living in the US) and I believe that you need to provide for your travel.

"Who May be Considered for Advance Travel Authorization

In order to be eligible to request and ultimately be considered for an advance authorization to travel to the United States to seek parole under these processes, beneficiaries must:

  • Be outside the United States;
  • Be a national of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, or Venezuela; or be an immediate family member (spouse, common-law partner, and/or unmarried child under the age of 21) who is traveling with an eligible Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, or Venezuelan;
  • Have a U.S.-based supporter who filed a Form I-134A on their behalf that USCIS has vetted and confirmed;
  • Possess an unexpired passport valid for international travel;
  • Provide for their own commercial travel to an air U.S. port of entry and final U.S. destination;
    Undergo and pass required national security and public safety vetting;
  • Comply with all additional requirements, including vaccination requirements and other public health guidelines; and
  • Demonstrate that a grant of parole is warranted based on significant public benefit or urgent humanitarian reasons, and that a favorable exercise of discretion is otherwise merited."

His popularity in Ohio is confounding. We can do better and will in 2026. Maybe the V.
Who's the V?

DeWine is popular because he's done a damned good job as Governor, as did Kasich. We need good solid Republicans like them to step up to the Presidential plate. Instead, we've got what we got, and it ain't good.

Governorships are different than the Presidency. They're closer to the people and know the government on a more personal level. Family connections. Social events. Local appearances.

They're more likely to be moderate because they're not tied to ideology as much. They govern at a more practical level and don't have their policies ignored by a deep state bureaucracy.

And they don't have to deal with the military and national defense (which should be a President's main job).

So, one city where 25% of the population are illegals and one report of Haitians eating animals is all Trump's fault?

Couldn't be because the local population is tired of dealing with so many illegals.

No, of course it's all Trump's fault. It's raining today - must be Trump's fault.
It's Trump's fault because he rode on his plane with Loomer and allowed her to fill his head with wacky conspiracy theories. You think his actual advisors wanted him to blurt out that nonsense on national tv?

Vance took phone claims made anonymously by people who he claimed were his consituents who were basically amplifying claims made by Neo Nazis. Rviews of 911 calls did not even turn up a single call regarding pet cannibals, even though Vance's "consituents" (aka faceless voices over the phone,emails etc...) claimed to Vance that there were 911 calls regarding exactly those type of claims...

And Trump reiterated those unproven allegations on national tv. For the days after numerous bomb threats were called in to Springfield by unhinged Trump supporters...So yes, it is Trump's fault...

Ohio is a Red state. DeWine won his race for Gov by 25%, while Vance only won by 9%. Vance is the least popular Pub among his own state...

Debate watch party IN Springfield reacts to Trump's claims...

Hey DUNCE I mean DANC. Try checking facts before you post. The Haitians are not illegals. They are legally here under a program that by the way was in effect when Orange Jesus was president. Wondering why he did nothing about it then? I smell a conspiracy.
Neither Haitians or Venezuelans suddenly appeared when Biden became POTUS. Millions of them were already here...

"In 2021, the U.S. Census estimated that 1,138,855 people of full or partial Haitian descent lived in the United States. ...

Some chose to move to Springfield for jobs, but there were already a million or so in the US when Biden became POTUS...

Here's some information about Venezuelans moving to the United States from 2017–2020:

  • Migration patterns
    Between 2018–2020, 3.52 million Venezuelans left the country, with 54% of those being adults between 20–45 years old. Women outnumbered men by a ratio of 95 men to 100 women, and only 18% of emigrants were under 15 years old.

  • Distribution by state
    In the 2017–2021 period, 51% of Venezuelan immigrants lived in Florida, with the next largest states being Texas (14%) and New York (4%). The top four counties with the highest concentration of Venezuelan-born residents were Miami-Dade, Broward, and Orange in Florida, and Harris County in Texas.

Read above, B-school boy. I said they were allowed in under Black Vishnu's regime.
Who? 😂 And I said Donny could have done something about it. After all he had 4 years. Probably too busy making America great again. And here I was dumb enough to believe we were already the greatest country in history. That’s what every politician republican and democrat have said since I’ve been alive. Oops. My mistake. Orange Jesus said we are a failing horrible place.

Well, because it was only an attempt on Trump. Anyone else, yeah, it would be attempted murder.
But somehow they have no issues finding the resources to protect Obama who is under almost no threat at all while Trump is probably the most threatened person in the world.

This is before Obama was elected...

"Paul Schlesselman, 18, of Helena–West Helena, Arkansas, and Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tennessee, allegedly plotted to assassinate Barack Obama during his 2008 presidential campaign.[1] Both Neo-Nazis, Schlesselman and Cowart were introduced to each other via the Internet in September 2008 by a mutual friend who shared their white supremacist beliefs.[2] Within a month they began planning to kill Obama by driving their vehicle toward him as fast as they could and shooting at him from the windows.

The murder was planned as the final act of violence of a killing spree in which the men planned to kill 88 African Americans by gunfire, mostly children at an unidentified, predominantly black school.[3][4] They also planned to behead 14 of the 88 victims. The numbers were chosen for their special significance in the white power movement:[3] 88 means "Heil Hitler", since H is the eighth letter in the alphabet, and 14 represents the 14-word white supremacist mantra, "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children"...

Would that be the same Vivek that in a January 2024 tweet to Nikki Haley Mr Routh begged her to join with Vivek to form a campaign team "that we can all get behind"? That Vivek?
You can try and slice and dice the political affiliations of Routh and Crooks all you want. At the end of the day they’re not going to fit neatly into any box because their beliefs are incoherent.

Routh donated to Democrats but tweeted about wanting a Haley/ Ramaswamy ticket (which is funny because they hate each other).

Your focus Mr Cos should be on how you can tone down the rhetoric that gives insane people the license to make such attempts.

No one (from Trumps Security Detail) was outside the fence... More "we're under resourced..."

Letting someone get within 500 yards of a protectee with a scoped, center fire rifle is gross negligence and once again Trump just got lucky... If the guy hadn't been stupid enough to have stuck his barrel thru the fencing (which is why he was detected) he had a high probability of bagging Trump...

More benign negligence from the Secret Service and Homeland Security leadership... I suppose they're underfunded with only 3.8 Billion to access... (DWS)
It's not MAL it's Trump's golf course. It's right next to the highway and people often walk thru the shrubs to take pictures from behind the fence.In fact I read a report that Routh had scoped out the place on previous occasions...

His phone records show his phone pinging at that location from about 1:30 am Sun morning continuously until he was fired on after 1 pm. So he had the place staked out in hopes that Trump would show, but he had no way of actually knowing if Trump would show or when...

Sort of reminds me of the classic 1941 movie Man Hunt, where a British tourist/hunter in Bavaria prior to WW2 has Hitler in his sights and decides not to shoot.

Again this is an expansive golf course, not the Berlin Wall with armed Stasi walking the perimter 24 hrs a day. We know you'd prefer that the SS directed all their time and resources to your beloved Trump, but the truth is there is a long list of people they are charged with protecting. And whenever the GOP controls Congress appropriations and funding are targeted...

None of these financial shortfalls were problematic to the MAGA crowd until the reality that Trump could be a target smacked them right in the face...

From March 2023...

"If the Republican plan to cut FY24 federal spending to FY22 levels applies to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), we would witness increased drug trafficking, criminal activity, cybersecurity threats, wait times at airports and other ports of entry, and reduced funding to help our communities prepare for disasters. Ultimately, cuts in funding will force DHS agencies like U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Secret Service, and the U.S. Coast Guard to stop hiring personnel and abandon critical initiatives that ensure our domestic security," said Homeland Security Subcommittee Ranking Member Henry Cuellar. "As Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security, I will continue to fight for robust funding for DHS. Our families, our economy, and our nation are depending on it."

He's a total whack job,so nobody is trying to put him neatly in a box. Except for those on the Right who want to blame Democrats. You know not only did Trump's rhetoric about Nancy Pelosi encourage a similar whack job to go to her house in a plot to "kidnap" her. But it also inspired sick reactions from Trump and his own devil's brood.

Like the tweet Junior posted (since deleted) of a hammer on shorts which he called his Paul Pelosi Halloween costume.Donny up until recently was still making jokes regarding that violence in his stump speech...Clearly no one should be a victim of political violence, but it's hard to conceive of anyone more deserving of that level of Karma than DJT...

Maybe you should aim your demand to tone down the political rhetoric to the folks on the other side of the aisle...

Dude he had an illegal fully automatic machine gun after a barricading incideent with cops in NC. Subsequent to that he also committed a number of additional felonies in NC (that we're aware of) and possibly other places. So why wouldn't he come to the FBI's attention?

The bigger question is,assuming he legally purchased the firearm, which state's lax gun laws allowed a habitual offender who has committed numerous felonies to purchase an AK-47? It would seem nobody even did a basic background check...

Ehhh... it should have been pretty easy for them to be canvassing places like that fence line, ahead of, and then as his group was playing through that area.

And as nutty as Routh likely is...sitting somewhere for 12 hours with an AK 47, bullet proof vest, Go Pro...and largely going unnoticed and undiscovered? Hmmm? Strange.

And all of this happening not much more than a month after someone got close enough to get multiple shots off at him at one of his rallies.

I guess maybe if it comes out that that fence line is often inhabited by paparatzi when he golfs, and Routh did a good job concealing his weapons and intentions...then maybe... It all seems way too easy right now, on the heels of another attempt that also seemed way too easy.

I admittedly haven’t read the links - and I have no dog (no pun intended) in this Haitian fight. But I find it hard to believe there was a magical place in Ohio that had excess demand for jobs and not enough supply to fill them. That’s unicorn stuff and sounds like retcon journalism.

Happy to be wrong.
