So for those back in IN who follow these guys and might have seen them play, I notice that there's a lot of talk about 3 central IN PGs that aren't rated: Walker, Smith and Comer. My question is, which of these guys would you want to see at IU and do you want us to offer and do you think these guys are worth a scholarship? Do you want IU to stay in touch in hopes that 1 may come as a walk-on, or are you wanting us to only go after them as a fall back plan if we don't get higher rated PGs?

Seems like the ideal would be a highly rated PG and then 1 of these guys to platoon and be a 4 year player. It seems many/most are impressed with all 3. I like the descriptions I've heard of Smith, but am only basing it off descriptions on here.

--Bruce Thornton, presumably IU's #1 PG target, committed to OSU. Probably leaves Avery Brown as the new #1 PG target.
--Fletcher Loyer to Purdue.
--According to the guys at HSN, IU is looking pretty good right now with CJ Gunn.
--Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn, is #9 in 247's list of '23 recruits. I believe IU was the first to offer; however, he is going to a prep school in Salt Lake City. Probably not a good sign for IU's chances. I will say I was surprised to see him ranked that high. I saw (on film) his AAU game against Brandon Smith's team, and thought Smith out-played him. Btw, I've read nothing about IU's current interest in '22 Indiana PGs Smith & Leland Walker. I know we put a full court press on Walker a while back, but haven't offered yet. Don't know if we're still recruiting him hard.
--I've added IU interest in Bryce Lindsay, a 6'3" PG out of Baltimore. He's currented unranked by 247 or Rivals, but recruiting interest in him is heating up.
