Anyone see the Bands Fight?

Many years ago, the two bands were in the south endzone waiting for the half. A full-blown brawl erupted. Our Tuba section smashed the Boiler Head.
I do not recall this at all. Now I personally know an IU football player who was in a brawl on the field with Boilermaker Pete, took Pete's hammer from him, and used it on Pete smashing the hammer through the mascot's head. The player was arrested for the incident. To this day he re-tells the story and we laugh about the incident.

I'm forever grateful that Hurley and UConn whipped Purdue last year, but it's about time he got T'ed up and had a game go like this. He's gotten way too full of himself and caught an awful lot of breaks the last couple years. Based on his comments in the post game press conference, some discipline might be coming his way.

I've never been a fan of Joel Klatt.... until....

I listened to this....

He was the color man during the IU/OSU game and several times I wanted to jump through my TV's screen and knock the shit out of him....

But... after watching this analysis of the IU/OSU game and where IU stands, changed my mind.... watch it all of the way through.

Thanks for posting and i didn't know IU now moved up to 52nd sos!

Conspiracy Theorists in Everyday Life

I found out via FB a woman I slept with a billion (25 ish) years ago died. That is the first woman I've messed around with that is confirmed to have passed. There was an older lady (+24 year age difference) but I don't think I'll go down that rabbit hole either way.

Well, you've already been down that rabbit hole, so I don't see what one more trip will hurt.

I keep mine primarily as a tool for finding out when people die.

Deranged Jack Smith drops all charges

Both cases are very much legitimate and he’s likely guilty in both. You never bothered to read either of the indictments or supporting documents because anyone that has and think there’s nothing to either case is a dumb dumb brain.
Lol. Here's Democrat and Clinton buddy Mark Penn.

Damn I was hoping since it’s the playoffs the would work towards a 50/50 allotment. That makes more sense
It would be cool if there was a 15-20K block for visiting fans in these first round games -- sort of like the FA Cup if you're familiar. There is still a clear homefield advantage, but there is a noticeable road crowd there that adds to the tension and atmosphere. But, this ain't happening.

should not the punishment fit the crime? the death penalty over something, again, that was no longer illegal just a few years later?

we didn't cheat on grades, pay players, pay handlers, bribe AAU coaches, etc.
Self-reporting something trivial like excess texts/calls, which is the equivalent of going 1 mph over the speed limit, was not a good move.

We didn't get the death penalty, we lost just one scholly and had some other small and generally non-material penalties. The thing that really killed us was Sampson's out of control roster imploding and transferring, leaving us with a terrible APR (and more lost schollies) and almost no team left. Kelvin's recruiting pipeline went to zero too, we sure could have used the portal back then. Maybe Crean could have kept Crawford, who knows, but it was bad regardless.

Oh well that's behind us. McNeeley is annoying glad he lost.

The Onion buys Infowars

Obama was a garden variety liberal who thought the market was a great force, but sometimes produced unfair outcomes that govt. should regulate to make life better for the middle class and poor.

I’ll have some more thoughts tomorrow on all this.

But I’d be interested to hear of an example, hypothetical or real, of an unfair outcome produced by markets, who sits as the arbiter of what makes a market outcome fair or unfair to one or more participants, and how and why they ascended to this position.

No.

no.

This thought is a good window into Obama

Obama in his interview disparages the Constitution as merely "a charter of negative liberties. It says what the states can't do to you. Says what the federal government can't do to you but doesn't say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf." He believes—and he's right—that changing this is the way to bring about "redistributive change."

This is a pretty clear statement in favor of the collectivism of governmental planning and control.
That's an opinion piece, CoH. I can find you a million of those that paint Trump as a fascist and an abject racist based on his out of context quotes. "Disparages" "merely" Come on, you can see that.

Obama was a garden variety liberal who thought the market was a great force, but sometimes produced unfair outcomes that govt. should regulate to make life better for the middle class and poor. He also, ala a garden variety liberal, believed in a degree of redistribution of wealth. He was justifying his positions, typically, with pretty standard communitarian ideas and language, which was new on the political scene, although Hillary had it too (it takes a village).
