What a fun game !

The interception was tipped I read online. Once there’s a tip you can literally tackle a WR and it’s not PI.

I thought Tayven would run more. On a lot of those read options the end crashed or froze and he still handed off. There were a few times he had 15 easy yards and handed off.
That one run of his for a TD was a stellar one. Cignetti praised his good decision making on that particular play during Fischer’s post game show. I know what you mean though, he did hand off a lot. It was a damn shame they couldn’t get a TD there from the 1 yd line. I was afraid it might come back to haunt us, but this is a different year.

Cignetti is everything Hep didn’t get to be for us. He’s a BMOC. He’s hot on campus and I wouldn’t be surprised if Woodson gets a little jealous of the adoration. IU football is like a snowball rolling down a big hill, unimpeded, getting bigger and faster as it goes. Hoosier Nation is alive….“It’s ALIVE”, I say!

Good Russian interference article . . .

Peegs asked me to moderate about 15 or 20 years ago when he owned the site. I said no because I was way too busy and I still had that months at sea thing happening here and there. However, if I was a moderator now, and I don't want to be, there are some posters I'd ban pretty much immediately.

To ban or not is a relatively easy question. It's the less than banworthy stuff you have to deal with that's a headache.

Hoosiers

I have no idea where I got this notion and understand it doesn't make any sense, but for some reason it feels like the whole portal/NIL/transfer thing that has changed college sports has been more detrimental to basketball that football. Maybe it's nothing more than a function of the roster size differences between the two. Or maybe it's my perception that the emphasis on social media "fame" is greater with basketball players than footballers.

It might have something to due to the fact that a REALLY good football player needs other hood pieces around him in order to succeed. Whereas in basketball, that player can go to BYU and still shine. Shine enough to get drafted in the first round. This has dispersed the 5* talent across the rest of the NCAA.

Anyone else find it funny that the OSU and UM guy on the GameDay panel

this morning picked Washington to win today? You think those two blue blood football alums are a bit miffed that IU is doing this and their pick was more based on jealousy rather than sound logic? Having a great coach and the portal levels the playing field and the traditional powers don’t like that. 😂
Both picked IND over NEB last week, so I’m not willing to go there. (Saban picked NEB, but picked IND today.)

The reasons to pick WASH were OK—WASH’s D is good and their skill position players are fine (the OL is a problem). IND persevered. And that’s OK.
