I think there is a lot of conflation of conservatives with those wanting policies favored by the right.

The philosophical underpinnings of conservatives is the recognition of a set of principles that recognize (1) a value to tradition, (2) a suspicion of unfettered "reason" based on a recognition of the limitations of human intelligence, and (3) the costs inherent in all change, with radical change perhaps being exponentially more costly, not linearly so.

Once you throw those away, I'm not sure the policy positions those on the right favor are any more defensible--maybe less so--than the ones on the left.

No 3 loss team that didn't win their conference should be allowed into a 12 team playoff. That's just me.

Yep. They had their laughs. I hope we make them eat them in 2 years. They have good players and win games but everything else about Ohio State sucks. (Which I know they don't care about because wins matter, just like to see them get knocked down several pegs.)

Yeah, when it comes to Ohio State there has never been conference loyalty. Ever. As long as they get theirs. And they will be the ones leading the charge to break up how revenue is shared as well. They are easy to root against.

This isn't a proxy war between us and Russia, it's an actual war between Ukraine and Russia. We certainly have supplied arms to partner nations and allies at war for use against the other country.
