You punks that want to kick boomers.

These women bands from the 90s were NOTHING like swifties. They were late teen and 20 something chicks in the audience sharing one collective thought

I get nothing from him

Close, but I can’t stand musicals, either.
And it’s not like we’re in New York. So we get the temu version cast by the time they get here.

You said George Clooney was in this

Yeah. I guess he’s not coming to Stl

Well that’s obviously not him. He looks familiar tho

I don’t know. I don’t know who it is. Just be quiet.

Ehh. It’s kind of driving me crazy

You’re driving me crazy

HA!!!! I GOT IT!!!! THATS ROBERT URICH!! Where the F has that guy been. Robert Fing urich. Wow!!!

Okay great. No clue who you’re talking about

In my winter wool dress pants. $600 in the hole

Switching from rock to comedy, silent generation had Carlin, Newhart, Pryor, Conway.

Boomers had Cleese, Murphy, Martin, Williams, Murray.

Then people stopped being funny...

There's a pretty big difference between born in the early /mid 50s boomers and the born in the 60s boomers. Summer of love, Vietnam, assassinations, protests, riots, Beatles, Dylan, Elvis... Us born in the 60s saw none of that, outside of grade school anyway. For me it was cold war, Led Zep, the Who, Talking Heads, the Cars, James Taylor, The Eagles, Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, Dire Straits, Lynyrd Skynrd, The Police, REM...

I have seen some people split the boomers group in two, with the moniker the Jones Generation for younger boomers.

I am not into most new music, but I find Gaga amazing and Taylor Swift at least listenable

Manilow was always too cheesy for me. I did go through an embarrassing-in-retrospect Styx phase. I also did see Dan Fogelberg in concert at IU in the 80s. Kinda sappy.

We saw him in St Louis at a 4th of July celebration at the Arch. We saw the Temps at IU. Never saw the Supremes, the other one I most would want to see.
I saw the Temptations within the last ten years but can’t remember how many were even original. I saw Diana Ross, but not with the Supremes. Saw Gladys Knight and the Pips with my parents years ago and saw Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and The Jackson’s, but not together.

I went to a freaking ballet and Gone With the Wind. You got off easy.
I hate to admit it as I know it’s very nonwoke, but I love Gone With the Wind. Probably read the book 3 times and have seen movie literally dozens. And quote Frankly My Dear I don’t give a damn more of then than I should . Oh and tried out for Thespians with Lawdy Lawdy Miss Scarlett, I don’t know nothin about birthin babies. At least I didn’t do it in blackface.

My first in-person concert was Captain & Tenneille. In my defense, I think I was 9, it was at the State Fair, and it was free. Priced right!
