There's a pretty big difference between born in the early /mid 50s boomers and the born in the 60s boomers. Summer of love, Vietnam, assassinations, protests, riots, Beatles, Dylan, Elvis... Us born in the 60s saw none of that, outside of grade school anyway. For me it was cold war, Led Zep, the Who, Talking Heads, the Cars, James Taylor, The Eagles, Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, Dire Straits, Lynyrd Skynrd, The Police, REM...

I saw Barry Manilow at IU Auditorium...a few years ago..he played a 30-40 minute solo act with his piano, took an intermission and played another set with the band.
Anything for the ultimate prize...
Manilow was always too cheesy for me. I did go through an embarrassing-in-retrospect Styx phase. I also did see Dan Fogelberg in concert at IU in the 80s. Kinda sappy.
I saw the Temptations within the last ten years but can’t remember how many were even original. I saw Diana Ross, but not with the Supremes. Saw Gladys Knight and the Pips with my parents years ago and saw Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and The Jackson’s, but not together.
I hate to admit it as I know it’s very nonwoke, but I love Gone With the Wind. Probably read the book 3 times and have seen movie literally dozens. And quote Frankly My Dear I don’t give a damn more of then than I should . Oh and tried out for Thespians with Lawdy Lawdy Miss Scarlett, I don’t know nothin about birthin babies. My first in-person concert was Captain & Tenneille. In my defense, I think I was 9, it was at the State Fair, and it was free. Priced right!
