The major problem with Sampson wasn’t the text issue it was the kind of kids he was bringing into the program. There was a lot of drugs use and class skipping going on during that year he was fired.

Big whoop. Put him on notice to get his crap together and get the offcourt issues straightened out. Give him a year or two to show things are improving. Instead, we shit the bed and tracked it through the house. Unfortunately, the stench is still lingering.

It's unlikely he downed a fifth, but yes, he was pretty drunk. .16 or so, if I remember correctly. Roughly like having 12 miller lites in 4 hours...

Sampson was a great hire. Greenspan knew coaching. Terry Hoepnner and Sampson that’s pretty damn good.
