It might be an attempt to renegotiate his NIL deal. In that case, iu can still be in this one.
lol

If he doesn't have the power to do his job, then this administration is more f***ed up than I thought.
So the IU administration is basically the Mafia?Well if the rumors are true, and what little public evidence is out there leads me to believe they are true, then he has been overruled in letting Woodson go and coerced ( at best) into hiring Woodson.
It would appear that one person is forcing the issue in terms of Woodson. He has some power but I do not understand why it appears he has as much as it appears he does and it distresses me that he is not putting IU ahead of his friend. I have NO inside knowledge. So the IU administration is basically the Mafia?
Assuming Woody stays, Ware goes pro, I predict MM, MR, Gunn, Banks, Sparks and Cupps hit the portal. Trouble brewing in Bloomington
They will be fun to watch. Sorry, I meant painful…McNeeley and Bidunga
I actually think the opposite, at least of the top 5-6. Galloway and Mgbako still on the roster would be problematic for McNeeley IMO. I could be wrong, but I think McNeeley has had Bill Self in his ear for awhile now and sees the writing on the wall at Indiana. Hell, we don’t even know what the roster is going to look like in 3 weeks. For a kid that can go anywhere he wants, and probably wants to be a 1-and-done, he definitely wants to play in the tournament and have a shot at a title. This almost has to be a sign there’s gonna be a mass exodus of players.
I know it's Self, but are coaches allowed to continue to recruit committed, signed players?I actually think the opposite, at least of the top 5-6. I’ll be honest I’m not sure there are any rules anymore. Who would enforce them?I know it's Self, but are coaches allowed to continue to recruit committed, signed players?
You could be right. The team looks quite a lot more bought in, especially with and for each other, than I would have ever thought they’d be. Very possible there’s a core group that’s going to return. That could even be leading to Woody returning?I actually think the opposite, at least of the top 5-6. Galloway and Mgbako still on the roster would be problematic for McNeeley IMO. At this point, I believe Bill Self can do anything he pleases. And do it with that trademark smirk on his face. Man, he’s damn good at it.I know it's Self, but are coaches allowed to continue to recruit committed, signed players?
He is doing that. But he’s going to get it, AND play for a good team next year. Hard to blame him.Could McNeeley simply be.shopping for more money?
Yes, he wants 500k additional to play for this circus of a program. IU has until midnight to drop off the money.Could McNeeley simply be.shopping for more money?
IIRC they just boat-raced Oats and Bama the other nightYou might be right about Florida. Gators on a roll.

Nice summary Clapper. 😂Smart move. No way I would want to walk into what is a sure fire shit show next season in Bloomington... and literally nobody else joining.
Woodson needs to be dismissed immediately following the end of the season. I fully expect a serious exodus of current players.
Dolson needs to follow him (you shouldn't get a redo on your failure) and Buckner needs either removed from the BOT or at least walled off from any decision making.
Likely none of these things will happen, because.... It's Indiana
So Woodson offered 31 players in 2024 and got nobody. 0-31 11 offical visits.. Ya I'm sure he will turn it around..
I'd bet on that too. There were some back channel things going on. I'm sure once his buddy Queen decided IU wasn't his place, LM probably was more open to other options. The timing makes me wonder if he was hoping to save face and reopen if Woodson was fired. Then it would have looked better on him. Once IU backed Woodson, he decided he has to decommit this way. If this was organic, the three game winning streak and the development of Mbacko would have mattered. My opinion...Kansas bound. Bet.
Biggest recruiting budget in the conference and four open spots. Unreal. How can you have zero recruits? This is comical
i think it's more than woody that will have some explaining to doWoody’s got some me explaining to do on this one.
Damn ..Indiana is a joke. Any of you who donate money to the athletic program or pay to attend games next year should probably light your money on fire instead.
Lazy AF staff. They are getting their butt handed to them by other coaches in this stateBiggest recruiting budget in the conference and four open spots. Unreal.
i think its bigger than that and people will not be pleased, dismayed at the way it goes downSomethings going on. I’m wondering if woody really will be back next year. IU not handling business again.
McNeeley is a definite 1 and done. He has one year to improve his draft stock, and where better to do it on a perennial top 5 team with huge TV exposure. It's Kansas. Just watch. You could be right. The team looks quite a lot more bought in, especially with and for each other, than I would have ever thought they’d be. Very possible there’s a core group that’s going to return. I just was thinking McNeeley, since he kept his commitment this long, was on board with joining…whatever IU is. So him decommitting is a sign he now knows something different?
Purdue can't take him as they have a full top 10 class coming in.It was between IU and Kansas.
No he doesn't if the young man wants to leave let him leave,Woody’s got some me explaining to do on this one.
Almost like the Luke Recker fax notice that he was leaving?
The question is why would he want to leave or maybe why his mother has stated that havent heard anything from Woodson for months. No he doesn't if the young man wants to leave let him leave,
