Trump/Vance 2024

Dems are already lying about what’s in it.

Wonder how many folks have actually read it, including those lying about it, or those accusing others of lying about it.

Finally, how can anyone tell what, if any of it, will actually come to fruitiion.

Vance is a smart guy. Trump is a savvy guy, but not super smart. I’d bet big money that Bush and Cheney both have higher IQs than Trump. Vance is probably in the same vicinity as B and C, maybe a little higher, but not significantly.
Don’t really see how you or anyone else have any idea what someone’s IQ is.

I could introduce you to a guy. You could talk to him about 10/15 and you’d say he’s the dumbest, lowest IQ guy you ever met. Then I could tell you I’ve watched him negotiate millions of dollars in metal purchases making the math calculations in his head with no calculator. I could also tell you he’s a multi millionaire who makes more money in six months than you have made in a lifetime.

I am not degrading you at all. I am just saying you nor I have any idea what someone’s IQ.

Like what?
ending no-fault divorce,
a complete ban on abortions without exceptions,
a ban on contraceptives,
raising the retirement age,
teaching Christian beliefs in public schools,
ending marriage equality,
banning Muslims from entering the country,
abolishing the FDA and EPA.

Stoll, in contrast to your multi millionaire I worked with a guy who passed the Mensa Genius test only to have his membership check bounce.

Heritage. A think tank devoid of a hint of common sense sabotaging its own candidate. Stupid fcks
I can’t imagine a 900+ page document being very useful.

From what I’ve read, it goes from A to Z in terms of relevance, usefulness and common sense.

Heritage is in line with any think tank, they write stuff to impress everyone except those who actually do stuff.

Doubt that is true re votes. Vast majority of people are blind partisans and will vote whomever name is at the top of the ticket. Trump got 62m votes in 2016. Romney had 60m in 2012. Couldn't be a starker contrast between Old GOP and New GOP than those two. Millions and millions of people hate Trump but will still vote for him as 1) they always vote and 2) they would never vote for a Dem.

The makeup of the GOP primary voter has changed significantly, but that's a different story.

What's the difference between a blind partisan and a principled voter?

Exactly re think tanks

I disagree totally. There is no room for that if you are a Trump follower. Every video I'ver ever seen at Trump rallies are people of all colors, patriotic, and loving one another. I've seen people say they felt so welcome whatever race and nationality they are. Anyone who says they are part of MAGA and displays racism is not part of the movement. Thats not what this its all about.
LOL.

Of course we're just guessing. I know some disagree, but my impression of Trump is someone with an average IQ who has been given financial advantages and the power that goes with it, and he's developed a very high opinion of himself. Vance came from a less advantaged background and made something of himself and did very well education wise and professionally. My impression of his intelligence is higher. Cheney is right up there with Vance and GWB is one of most maligned Presidents intellectually and I think it was unfair and incorrect. He actually speaks very well off script. These are all opinions, not facts.

Remember that they used to do IQ tests in school? I'd guess there was a backlash because most people are going to be average, and a lot will be below average. I know what mine was measured at and I know my mother bragged about it. It wasn't at Mensa high, but it was high. However, no one likes to hear he/she is average or below average on the IQ scale and no parents with average to below average IQ kids cared to hear about my IQ from my mother either. Far as I know they don't do those tests in K-12 any longer. They didn't do if when my daughter was in school, but I know she's smarter than average on many things (enough to make the Dean's list her last two years of undergraduate school), and way below average on technical things like math. She just never got math. So, I don't think a high or low IQ equates to smart or dumb on everything. I'm sure as heck not smart on everything!

When reading Wikipedia essays about think tanks there is often a reference to them being liberal or conservative.

Often wonder if Wikipedia is revealing what the think tank reveals about itself or is drawing a conclusion. Either way in today's divided country all too many of us will not consider the information or suggestions made by a think tank because of its liberal or conservative label.

Sad but true.

A number of been around so long their scholarship belies any claims they try to make to the contrary. Heritage is conservative and doesn’t try to be otherwise. Brookings gets accused on both sides and I haven’t cared in ages but it sort of turned imo on the area. They broke up their research into something like five or six groups and you could see trends. Obviously there are many others like rand, cato, aei, Hoover, economic policy institute etc but their bent isn’t much of a mystery if they have one

My second year out of college the firm I worked for hired a young man who just graduated from college. He passed the CPA exam with like a top five score in the country. I think he was number one but I don’t remember for sure.

He didn’t last two years with the firm. No communication skills or common sense to get jobs completed.

The whole notion of admitting students into college or hiring people for a job based on merit is somewhat deceiving in my view.

Ways to judge merit aren't foolproof whether judged by college admissions people or business human resource experts.

Only once in college or on the job can merit be assessed.

Even then, there are circumstances which should be considered before making a final call on merit.

Fuentes is a far right supremacist. Just stick with that. No part of racism Is MAGA.

Cite one. Doesn’t even have to be a famous person. Do it.
I must watch more ultra MAGA nut job channels than you do. Nobody used the qualifier it had to be someone who is "sane". Just a MAGA supporter...

Heck part of the reason Vance initially despised Trump (when he was sane) was that he felt Trump's attacks on immigrants threatened his (Vance's) own family...

Since Donald Trump launched his political career on the racist birtherism attacks on President Obama, racism and white supremacy have defined the MAGA movement. That racism has had violent consequences.… Perhaps this is why JD Vance himself condemned Donald Trump when he said in a now deleted tweet, ‘Trump makes people I care about afraid. Immigrants, Muslims, etc. Because of this I find him reprehensible. God wants better of us.’”

You can delete Tweets, but you can't completely eradicate them... Btw, is CPAC MAGA? How about MTG? You can't just pretend Fuentes isn't part of Trump's far right base...How about Ann Coulter? Charlie Kirk? Suddenly you want to seperate the influential racist elements of MAGA from MAGA?

WTF? You’ve lost it
I have no idea what that means, what you're trying to say, or the point you're making? Everyone knows that Vance was a fervent never Trumper, but it seems he was always and still is an opportunist. If the spineless Dems would have provided any semblance of campaign funds to Ryan in 2022 he'd have had a good shot of winning, even in Ohio. If you admire Vance for sucking up to Trump, hey that's your thing.

I'm glad Trump chose Vance, because it's a tactical error. Just like his speech at the Convention, neither helps Trump with the center or Moderates. Vance represents Ohio which is a state Trump has in the bag,.

Someone like Burgum or Carson would have been far less controversial and even might possibly have helped Trump with a constituency he needs help with. JD Vance only opens up lines of attack with his hardline stance on abortion, his ties to Project 2025, his embrace of the Big Lie and his history of ridiculous remarks, like saying women should stay in unhappy marriages even if they're being abused...

Do you agree with Vance or WSJ?

That was the question and you linked some asinine video from MTN.

Aloha makes perfect sense given that Vivek was the guy the hardcore Trumpers wanted him to pick the most. After that probably Carson and then Tulsi. Bunch of racists.
Dude Coulter told Vivek to his face she wouldn't vote for him because he's Indian. Charlie Kirk says he won't fly with a Black pilot, and you think he'd want Carson as VP/POTUS? And I doubt a very high percenatge of the Trumpers who might support Tulsi have any idea of her heritage...

The point is Vance is a blatant opportunist. That's what his former roomate from Yale (the one he sent the Hitler tweet to) says, and what his former techie buds from Silicon Valley (who were shocked he went from Never Trumper to Trump sack licker) say as well.

Also this sort o whiney BS doesn't play well with me. And based who makes this argument on this board this blather strikes me as false and ridiculous...The last thing I want is someone this stupid and deceitful as VP...

" Vance argued in an interview earlier this year that Big Tech "censored" Trump's campaign and that key battleground states were wrong to change balloting rules during the pandemic.

  • "If I had been vice president, I would have told the states, like Pennsylvania, Georgia and so many others that we needed to have multiple slates of electors and I think the U.S. Congress should have fought over it from there," Vance told ABC's George Stephanopoulos."
Can Vance provide a single instance of a state changing it's rules AFTER the Primary so that the rules both parties nominated their respective candidates by were different than the General Election? Pretty convenient for Trumpers to whine and complain after the fact about procedures established prior to actual Primary voting.

Not only that, but JD apparently doesn't know that both PA and MI changed their absentee voting rules prior to 2020, by Legislative action in PA and by an overwhelming ballot measure in MI respectively. I've posted this prior so I don't feel like rehashing the same explanation, but I believe the years were in the period 2018-2019 for both.

Also JD sounds like a winey baby, considering it's not very likely Dems changed rules in GA or AZ. Both states had,in 2020, GOP Governors, Legislatures, and state election officers. Hell Kemp was Sec of State in GA (suceeded by fellow Pub Raffensberger) up until he (Kemp) ran for Gov in 2018. Just uttering such utter nonsense makes Vance look like an idiot,IMHO...

I’m not trying to be ass, this time, but there isn’t a chance that Trump has an average. I can’t stand politicians and especially leftist politicians, but I’d venture to guess 95+% of them are in the top 20% of IQs. The average individual struggles to maintain a job.

We don't know what his IQ is. My opinion is it's probably at the high end of the average range and nowhere near top 20 percent, but I could be wrong.

What's the difference between a blind partisan and a principled voter?

Someone who votes for the same party all the time vs someone who votes for the same policies all the time. I agree more with the Democrats foreign policy position. I agree more with their trade position. I don't agree with their domestic agenda, whatsoever.

I really only care about issues. Most partisans try to convince me of that it's not raining while they piss on my leg.

The stupidity around here kills me. This must be, either a site where one of you dems has multiple personality disorder or it's full of lunatic dem trolls. There cannot be this many stupid people. If its the 2nd one, congrats well done.

Sleep tight and don't worry there will be a participation trophy for you someday.

WHITEBOY SUMMER!!! sure as shit is NOT paddle boarding. Go find a real American lake.

If you want a true whiteboy summer, take a group of friends kayaking down a river.
Nothing is more fun then lounging on a river all day with a couple 12 packs in tow. Super fun.

So the prioritization of issues changes for you each election and thus you vote based on what is most important to you at that moment? And that makes you a principled voter?

And if someone's prioritization of issues does not change for each election and thus votes for the party that they believe addresses those issues, they are deemed to be blindly partisan?

A guy who doesn't know how to inflate a tire probably has no clue about how to paddle a kayak.

Dumb and wit free. You should stop posting completely because you only prove how stupid you are with each post. I’m not joking.

Kayaking? No. Floating. THAT’S #WHITEBOYSUMMER

Brother, where we go, you can float on that river day long.

There's only a small portion where you have to paddle so you can cross the dam. After that, current will take you anywhere you want to go.
