Vote counts? Recounts? Race too close to call? Who cares! No need to wait. Just declare victory. Then if it's later determined the other guy won, just say he cheated.

Donald Trump to Dr. Oz. A decade ago no one would have believed it....

And the irony…. Oz was behind a couple thousand when we went to bed. And now they are waiting on those evil mail in ballots.

The Trump Playbook: Claim that you won. And if you didn't, never admit defeat. Just say the other side cheated.

Elections be damned. Democracy be damned.

I'm leaning going all in on the populous celebrity that's controversial, has a built in cult base and built a fortune by ridiculing/pwning his opponents while thriving in the New York tabloid wars of the 80's and 90's....Howard Stern.

Stern 2024!!!!
Stern is very pro 2A and is a COVID neurotic. Pick your poison.

I respect the guy because the X’ers and boomers all claim he is a legend and a trailblazer, but there are so many better options these days than listening to that creep ask people about their sex lives.

He doesn’t do that as much anymore. He more is simply neurotic about COVID. He’s no longer interesting. I cancelled last month. And I loved him.

Meh, we'll get him to flip. All he'd have to do is say he feels differently towards the 2nd amendment and it's all good.

The dems need a celebrity populist leader who basically just owns/triggers/tilts the right to the left's amusement. That'll be his main agenda and play to his strengths.

He's the perfect candidate!

Lol

It's pretty incredible, the aversion pro-Trump voters have to mail in ballots. At this point, it's just bizarre...

PA passed a universal mail vote in 2019 in the GOP controlled Legislature. It was a compromise where both sides got what they wanted, the Dems wanted no excuse absentee/mail ballots and the Pubs wanted elimination of straight ticket voting option. Both sides based those positions on the fact that Dems outnumber Pubs by nearly a million voters in terms of statewide voter registration affiliation...

But even though the GOP voted for it and were generally happy with the bill, that all changed heading into 2020 because Trump didn't like it and sent out instructions to his lackeys to oppose the statute and try and get it labelled unconstitutional. Notice he didn't raise a ruckus in states like FL, where absentee ballots had long benefited the GOP. Just in states like PA and MI, where again the measures to allow universal mail ballots were approved by a state referendum and not some last minute change or voting irregularity, as Trump's minions in the state tried to later claim...

Now fast forward to these Primaries, and in every case the pro-Trump endorsed candidate has lagged behind in the mail in ballots. Even in PA where all of the GOP candidates for Gov and Senator were basically outdueling each other for the title of most Trumpiest, the candidates Trump actually endorsed started out behind when early/mail votes were tabulated first, although in PA it was a county by county decision. For some reason voters who have the most extreme fealty to Trump seem to have taken to heart his condemnation of mail ballots as rigged, even when all the other candidates are just as committed to Trump and he's just left them on the outside looking in when it comes to be his chosen endorsee...

I'm actually hoping Oz prevails because other than Barnette I think he's the easiest competition for Fetterman. Oz will likely get some crossover vote in Philly area, but he did lousy in areas of NE PA where Trump piled up his biggest margins in 2016. And despite Trump's endorsement of Oz, Fetterman has the economic and working man chops to appeal to some of those voters he's targeting in those heavily rural areas.

Fetterman has experience running and winning a statewide campaign, and Oz is a carpetbagger who basically lives in Ct and bought a house in the Philly burbs to pretend he's a PA guy and run for office. Fetterman will continue to campaign in those small towns and drive around in his truck, and Oz will likely go out and by a pickup, so he can make another ultra cringey commercial, maybe even install a gun rack and don boots and a cowboy hat...

And while Barletta and Oz could have co-existed, Mastriano is a wackier than usual nutjob, who should turn people off the more he's exposed to the population as a whole. He wants to avoid having press coverage of his rallies and refuse debates, and Oz will likely look to maximize exposure and the type of publicity Mastriano wants to avoid. At some point they are going to likely refute something the other one said, and I can't wait to see Oz try to defend Mastriano's Jan 6 history...I knew this guy was basically Q-lite, but he's even wackier than I imagined...

Is Fetterman still chasing unarmed black men down the street with a shotgun?

Man I listened to part of his speech last night and full on nut job. Strange giggling at really inappropriate times, No wonder he wouldn’t allow press at his events. He’s a weird one.

John Mulaney - very clean-cut looking, but subtly cuts like a knife.

Mastriano reminded of a demented Batman villain. He is truly a bizarre dude.

Would Fetterman wear sweatpants and a hoodie to his inauguration? He too is one odd dude.

Wow, sounds just like VP Harris!

Both sides have their consultants out and about using math to all but declare victory. No one knows for certain how many ballots are left. Some counties are days behind because of incompetence.

Good times. There are obvious flaws with the way many states count ballots, but 2020 shouldn't take away from this race.

Going to be interesting watching Republicans cannibalize one another on inter-party rigged elections.

Great point. During primary season we'll probably see lots of that (remember "Lyin' Ted Cruz!"), but once the focus shifts to November, it'll only be Dems who lie, cheat and steal.

Speaking of GOP cannibalization... The GOP in PA is scared to death of what Mastriano means for Nov, and they are fighting over who is to blame...NYT interviews and analysis from GOP insiders in PA...

"Some in Pennsylvania blame Jeff Yass, a billionaire options trader and the state’s most powerful donor, for sticking with Bill McSwain for governor despite former President Donald Trump’s blistering anti-endorsement. Others point the finger at Lawrence Tabas, the state party chair, for failing to clear the field. Still others say Trump should have stayed out of the race altogether instead of endorsing Mastriano. Tabas did not respond to a request for comment Wednesday.

An eleventh-hour effort to stop Mastriano failed when both McSwain and Dave White, a self-funding candidate who spent at least $5 million of his own money, refused to drop out and support former Rep. Lou Barletta, whose supporters insisted he was the more viable option.

Many Republicans thought that idea was futile and far too late. Several said a serious effort to prevent Mastriano from winning should have begun last summer, while others said Yass and his allies could have dropped McSwain sooner.

“Had they kept their powder dry, they could have seen the lay of the land, when Mastriano’s lead was 8-10, and backed Barletta,” said Sam Katz, a former Republican candidate for governor who now backs Josh Shapiro, the Democratic nominee.

“Had they spent $5 million in three weeks, they might have forced Trump to make a different choice and changed everything,” Katz said."

Mastriano has the potential to be Christine McDonnel, Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock all rolled into one...A 1 man Titantic...

Yep. Shapiro should roll, which is critical because the governor in PA appoints the Secretary of State (elections).

Mastriano is a 2020 presidential election denier, he was in DC on 1/6 and he's a head case.

Don’t forget Mastriano’s biggest tailwind in this primary….. Shapiro.

He spent almost a million in ad buys highlighting a guy he wasn’t even sure would be his opponent. More than Mastriano spent on ad buys for his whole campaign.

For a party that claims Jan. 6 put democracy in grave danger, you guys sure seem eager to see a 1/6 attendee running for Governor of a massive state.

But then again Hillary wanted to run against Trump at one time too. We’ll see how it all plays out.

I get you hate trump with a passion and so do people like mark but good lord your obsession with him is really bizarre and creepy. It would be like me coming on here day in and out and talking about Obama nonstop 24/7. I mean he clearly has a strangle hold on your brain or I guess maybe you are just trying to deflect on what a horrible job your boy the big guy is doing. Either way it is odd and I guess he really makes you unhappy even though he is not even in office. I do hope you can someday get over him and just move on but I doubt that will happen. Life is far to short to let somebody control your brain like this.

It really is creepy and how they try and figure out how everything is really Trumps fault. When Biden is gone I will try and put his disastrous presidency out of my mind. I would vote for Trump just to spite the aforementioned , throw in Goat , Zeke, Cosmic and some others in as well.

I try to be respectful to posters including those with whom I strongly disagree. There are a handful, though, who make that (i.e. being respectful) really difficult. You're one of them.

Let me make this as simple as I can for you. Trump stated that Oz should immediately declare victory, in a race too close to call, with thousands of votes still to be counted. That means Trump wants to cancel votes. In a Republican primary, that means Republican votes. Ignore them. Disregard them. Pretend they weren't cast. If you aren't able to grasp how problematic and troublesome that is, you're even dumber than I thought. And I think you're really fvcking stupid.

Maybe...and call me crazy... its because every other 1 term President(even 2 term Presidents) in our history has accepted defeat graciously. Has "rode off into the sunset" essentially when it comes to politics. Has been helpful and willing in a peaceful transfer of power. Trump on the other hand has been a whiney little bitch and continues to try and undermine our democracy. If he would shut the f--- up about his ridiculously stupid and baseless conspiracy people here would probably stop talking about him.

The counting of votes in Oregon’s vote-by-mail system is turning into a bit of a disaster.
A printing error made the bar codes printed on many ballots too blurry for the ballot-counting equipment to read. So the ballots have to be read by hand by volunteers.

A mess, for sure, but not really a hint of corruption. They have voted by mail for decades, without major issues.

Yes it was the barcodes. I never said anything about corruption. It’s still a mess
