Trump sides with Putin....once again proving to be Russian puppet

How is that racist or ignorant? You’ve obviously not had an easy life. But your race or your gender did not work against in your problems. Complain? I bet you’ve done some of that. Who hasn’t? And who exactly is spoon feeding all of us? Appears it’s anyone you disagree with must be spoon fed. A little silly, don’t you think?
I don't believe this guy's a serious poster. It's some kind of a shtick.

Nice try piggybacking off of what I have proven to be your method when you can’t answer. I have to work. Obviously you don’t
I figured you’d pull that too. Anyways, did you have any actual reply regarding why not smoking is or isn’t a moral choice?

fyi the racist part was when he was blatantly and purposely racist towards white males.
Who do you think decided, back then, that it was best that blacks had their own baseball league, their own restrooms, their own water fountains, their own neighborhoods, etc.?

These were situations that were imposed on them.

Recognizing this is not racism, it's realism. And I am not arguing about the situation TODAY, or saying we need reparations, or even blaming those of us who weren't even alive 70 years ago. I am rather pointing out that this argument that there was some mythical utopia, 50's America, and that it was the best there ever was is... a crock.

The conservative mind is an amazing thing. Someone pointing out racism is a racist thing to do and thereby makes them a hypocrite.

The 1950’s is when the GOP began to first make important strides toward remedying the damage done by the Democrats through slavery, treasonous secession, the Klan.1, Woodrow Wilson, Jim Crow and Klan.2. It was a wonderful time where racist Democrats were first driven under rocks and into silent darkness by people like IKE. Put the Commies on the run too. And there was peace. For a short while. And black people had second-generation education and jobs - despite the lingering discrimination. And when the GOP began to fight for civil rights laws, the Dems doubled down with a new wave of murder and hate. Then , poof, in 1968 “The Big Southern Strategery” made all the Dims hip overnight and made all the racists join the GOP and Puff the Magic Dragon made it real, man.

You are not even trying to understand the point. There is an entire planet out there. AND other factors need to be taken into consideration. But you don’t want to read so I’m going to move on. Spoon it up, baby!!

I understand it perfectly.

The contention is that the 50's was a great old happy time and that we need to return to those wonderful days when America was at its greatest.

I point out that this is a myth. It wasn't a happy time for much of America.

You then try to twist that very specific point into claiming (falsely) that I am blaming white Amrican males who weren't alive back in the 50s for the injustices of that time, or posing remedies for lingering problems of racism that would fall on your back. I am not. Maybe the 50's was a utopia, from the perspective of a well-off white male living in that era. I am just pointing out that the 50s was not a utopia, from many other very relevant perspectives.

I doubt you actually understand what is actually racist and what isn’t.
Hatred, ignorance, learned behaviors and complacency in one’s own situation are what are at the root of and the reason for racism continuing to be. Having said that, the one major reason it never goes away is because of people like you. You don’t want it to. The only system that will work is one in which everyone is allowed to thrive through hard work no matter their race. The more race is brought up as the reason certain races are held back the more racism will exist. The narrative has to say we are all Americans. United together for everyone’s betterment through effort and hard work, honesty, integrity and so on.
If the solution includes an advantage to one group over another, you’ve not solved anything at all. And while I didn’t call you a hypocrite, the fact that you can’t understand that justifying racism against the race that is in power means exactly that you are in fact a hypocrite.
Spoon on.

Much of America isn’t happy now. Much of the world isn’t happy now. Much of the history of Mankind hasn’t been happy. It’s just how it is. However, in the 50s we had certain moral foundations in place and a more peaceful world that likely made this nation a little happier than it is now.
was it perfect, uhhhhhh no. And at no time will it ever be. Why? If we all had everything we wanted as stated right now, within a month, some people would grow tired of what they have and want more and an entirely new round of grievances will start to take shape. Those are the facts of human nature. It’s just the way it is. Your hatred of people like me is no different than the hatred in the 50s and until we get back on track morally, the level of hatred in this country isn’t going anywhere.

You didn’t call me a hypocrite because I’m not the one who posted an example about 1950s America. I’m the one you have no answer for regarding why not smoking must be some sort of moral decision.

My level of "hatred" for "people like you" (whatever that means) would be precisely ZERO.

You now seem to be saying that the 50s had some things going for it. That's a fine position to take and is much different than insisting that back then, and only back then, was America "GREAT".

If you don’t hate people like me, I’d hate to be on the receiving end of people you do hate. Sometimes when you’re filled with hate, you can be blinded by it. Take a step back and do a serious self exam. Try not to spoon feed for awhile and you’ll see the light.

Conservatives talking about how great the 50s were is laughable. The tax rates alone make the 50s a conservative nightmare.

Once again, you’re showing your true hatred and bias. I’m not a Conservative nor am I a Liberal. I’m not basing my opinion purely on the tax rate. However, since it’s squarely on your radar, your hypocrisy is rearing it’s ugly head again!! Just in time for another spoonful.

How about smoking and morality? Also, if you aren’t conservative, why are you so upset about it? Just don’t get so hysterical and we can talk about it.

I will go S L O W L Y so you can understand. Some people are Liberals. Some are Conservatives. Some think for themselves and don’t blindly follow everything one or the other side says. That would be me. You, on the other hand, are one who lines up with their spoon.

I’ve been patiently waiting for your answer regarding smoking and morality. Maybe you could link the Ten Commandments or something. Although thinking back to catholic elementary school, I don’t recall “thou shalt not smoke” being on the list. Maybe that was one of the five Moses dropped.

You have literally ignored everything I said. HickoryflaveredSpoon

Just a word of advice: this spoon shtick you've been using isn't helping you. It's not clever, it's not funny, you're not pwning anyone, and it doesn't move the discussion forward.

If you take the everything Christianity says in a vacuum and find a situation that proves that single teaching wrong, you’re not really arguing against Christianity, you’re arguing against a made up narrative.
I noticed the only Religion attacked around here is Christianity. I wonder why that is? Seriously. Ask yourself that question. Are you afraid of the other Religions? Are the others not “bad Religions”? Most of them have the same basic Principles to follow with changes or additions that originated at some point over the last 2000 years. Why don’t you hate these Religions? Do you hate Judaism too? They believe in the Ten Commandments? Put your money where your mouth is tough guy and tell me what it is about Judaism you don’t like.
As far as smoking and morality goes, please remind me what that has to do with what we’re talking about and I will let you know my opinion.
Having said that, smoking is a vice that should not be started. The virtues, as opposed to the Commandments, would be where this is addressed. Gluttony I believe.
since you brought up smoking, Years ago, smoking was considered not as bad for you. The smoking companies lied and eventually many people died of lung cancer. All races. Genders. Nationalities and Religions. I don’t suppose you want to get on board and talk about how the tobacco companies should have to pay everyone who lost a loved on or spent all that money on an addiction that kills people and we’re lied to about it. I guess not because that doesn’t fly with the HIP cause of the times. You see, if you’re going to be taken seriously, you need to be consistent with your outrage. And you’re not. Now…..if you would kindly let me get back to the game, I can then let you get back to the spoon.

The amount of people up in arms about is would suggest otherwise. Having said that, I’m not trying to own anyone. I’m just presenting you with facts at times and my opinion other times. I find it to be enlightening how angry many of you get because I’m voicing my opinion on an opinion board. If it’s against your opinion you get angry. I think he's driving home a valid point. Many of your ilk are being spoon-fed what to think and all they do is parrot it. So, when challenged to argue a point, they can't do it.

It's quite an accurate and effective accusation.

Present company excepted, of course.

What am I outraged about? Christianity? Nah, I think all religions are equally silly/superstitious. Smoking? Nah, I just want you to come up with a cogent post as to why not smoking is a matter of morality. You can even have unlimited use of the word spoon if that will make it easier.
