I’ve read the different posters that are thinking Race is waiting for Trayce to make a decision. So which way is it? If Trayce says he’s coming back then Race hits the portal or if Trayce comes back then he’s coming back to join him. Or is it vice versa? Just curious what others think.

I imagine Race is looking to play for a contender next year since its his last hurrah. Likely, his preference is IU is that contender and he rides into the sunset.....maybe after banner #6.
Although TJD is the biggest factor, I imagine other incoming talent could impact his decision as well. If TJD leaves, IU may have a bright future but if we don't pull in some great transfers, it's hard to say with a straight face that our team is going to be contending for the title next year. Under that circumstance, I can see him looking towards another option.

Most rumors are both Race and Geronimo are waiting on TJD. IF TJD and Race both come back Geronimo may bolt per rumore. But it is all rumors.
JG is more of a wing anyway. He needs to continue developing his shot. Doubt Race or TJD decision are any factor in his return.
If this was his thinking he ought to already be in the portal. Teams that think like contenders aren't going to wait around until May to complete their roster. My guess is he's checking out international options. I don't think he'd play in front of Geronimo unless JG is capable of playing the 3.
