“According to 247Sports, Bubba Cunningham receives an additional one month of his salary ($104,166.67 is one month. His contract is for 1.25 million a year.) for North Carolina making the NCAA Tournament. Unbelievable they made the dance over West Virginia (6 quad 1 wins), Ohio State (6 quad 1 wins) and our beloved Indiana Hoosiers (4 quad 1 wins and zero losses outside quad 1). Here is the link to the 247 article about his contract.”

Why isn’t there a published standard algorithm that measures each team’s performance without bias? Too many conflicts here

I know…win a few more and no worries. Well, maybe

Typical BS as usual. We all knew that something motivated him to put his school in the tournament. MONEY.

UNC also plays a SD St team that has to travel all day from SD to Dayton tomorrow (assuming there are no direct flights between the two cities) to play Tuesday. Whoever wins that game will have 2 days rest before playing Friday in Milwaukee instead of usual one day of rest for first four teams. Nothing about UNC’s bid looks good.

Surely they charter a flight?

No doubt he got them in, it’s a joke. UNC didn’t deserve a bid based on any metric. They played some good teams. That was their resume.

Committee needs to be 100% people with no interest in the outcome. Or just base it on math with no debate. At least that would be fair to everyone.

That, and the fact that 3 ACC teams just doesn't "feel" right. WVU, and IU to a lesser extent, got gamed. UNC, once again, gamed the system.

money (politics) it is the world we live in. get used to it

myles and co. won
Dr you know it's not right, it's things like this is why tv viewership is down 21 percent this year. People are getting tired of all the crap.

My biggest complaint was Cunningham not even answering the question from CBS. The buck stops with my deputy. Amateur hour.
There must be more to this story than what meets the eye. They had to know that this would be obvious to the point that mere incompetence doesn’t explain it but they did it anyway.

didn't have anything to with his bonus/ money but the unc guy in the room or not......

everybody else there faced with what they saw as a tossup decision

put unc in and then justified that with with a sh!tty texas team and one win xavier squad to bolster the argument

west virginia got screwed

based on #'s we should have got in also but doesn't change the fact we didn't deserve a bid either

Unless it’s Chris Reynolds as Committee chair. IU fans would be ok with that (again).

Many of so called “experts” on TV and radio are stating their disgust today with UNC making the tournament over IU and West Virginia.
