The problem is shooting, not coaching.

Whoever rated Moore and Forrestor as 4 stars should be fired.

247 had them as 3 stars.

I could be remembering totally wrong, but I think I’m pretty close in my recollection.

Back in the day on Rivals rankings 5 stars used to be limited to just the top 25 (now goes to 30) and 4 stars was reserved for either 26-75 or 26-100. 4 star ratings go all the way to 140 or 150 now (or close to it). It used to be anyone ranked lower than 100 was a 3 star and lower than 150 would maybe get a 2 star rating.

Yep.

Coaching...despite the glitz and glamor...is over-rated. A few exceptional coaches can win a game, but most of the time it takes players...doing what they do to win games. When you lose, 99% of the time you can trace it right down to a player doing poorly or injury. You cant coach those problems away....you just deal with them...as best the players can.

It is a players game...coaching helps, but talent wins.
The NBA is a players game. College is a coaches game

When most of your team cant make wide open shots, I'd say 19 wins is pretty good.

I get the feeling that you are actually a Purdue fan that is trolling.
Purdue is in the Sweet 16 with all of their talent. Meanwhile we’re at home with 2 all conference players and 8 4 or 5 star recruits.
Purdue hit 9 3 pointers in the first half alone vs. Villanova. You think shooting well might help a little? Purdue is one of the best shooting teams in the field and plays good defense -they can beat anyone. Shooting matters.

Are those 4 and 5 star guys IU has great or even good shooters? Just imagine if they were. IU would’ve easily won over 20 games this season.

Moore and Forrester also 4 stars.

Purdue has 0 5 stars and 2 4 stars.

They've got four 4 star kids in Edwards, Eastern, Hunter and Williams.

You can't even get it straight on the simple things. Why would anyone believe the first thing you said about any of this?

They can still win over 20 games this season.

Just sayin'...

I don't care … $3.5 million a year … figure it the **** out … Painter has.

Figuring it out is all relative though. Purdue is a nice team, Painter has been @ Purdue 15 seasons now, and he played for and mentored under a HOF coach as an associate head coach his first season. He went 7-21 and 9-19 in his first two seasons, winning a total of 6 conference games. He should have it figured out by now and by and large he has, but even he hasn't made it past the Sweet 16 (though maybe this year he finally breaks through). Either way, he was given the time to figure it out and I think Purdue made the right choice. Why such haste to shit can Archie when season 2 hasn't even completed? Why does Painter get 15 years @ Purdue with such an inauspicious start but Miller doesn't get even a full 2 before your screeching like a puss in a rat trap?

One game out of the entire season.

This year it’s shooting. Another it’ll be size. Then it’ll be experience, or guard height, or defense. There’s always an excuse.

Then why do you struggle with it so much, gimp...?
I’ll be here to say I told you so in a couple years just like I did with Crean. I’ve been educating you for years. You need to start absorbing some of it.

Back on track and out of the tournament...again?

No excuse for that with this roster. None.
Tell me another team that qualified for the NCAA’s this year that had the same amount of experience and injuries Indiana sustained this year?

Uh huh. The only thing you could ever educate anyone on is how to post like a bleeding gash, and only then by example.

Not something I'm really all that interested in leaning. Thanks, but no thanks.

I'm not in the Fire Archie Now camp. He deserves more time. But this isn't a fair comparison. We aren't Purdue. Our expectations are higher.
