Anyone notice on MR’s second foul, Ginger’s foot was inside the ring and no one noticed ?
Yup. Refs have been horrible. And it has rarely benefitted IU thus far.
Dude flopped at the end of the half and stuck his leg out. Refs are suppose to call that shit. Several plays where IU/PSU have met vertically in the air. No calls against PSU, fouls against IU.
That was clear. Is there some rule I am unaware of that makes that ok?
11 vs 2 and IU the team taking it to the rim. Odd
Baldwin flying into the lane twice while jumping into Ware and then MM. Refs bailed him out twice. We can’t get a call on a shot in the lane on the other end.
Not one to normally blame the refs. But the last foul they called on X…after PSU swiped and hacked on basically every single possession…well it’s BS. If you’re not gonna call it, fine. Just make sure you don’t call it on one end like they have.
Evenly officiated game and were up 15-20. But if they make half their layups and open 3s…we’re down double digits. Score is probably about right.
I screamed at the TV, but to no avail.
I don't mind most of the calls, I just expect them to be called both ways.
When it’s so blatantly different between the teams, it does affect the game. B10 officials are awful.
One caveat…IU, despite Woody and the announcers mistakenly saying we are…are NOT playing very good defense. And as we’ve seen a ton this year, that often leads to guys out of position, and that leads to fouls. We haven’t done a ton to take PSU out of their game, they’ve just missed a lot of makable shots.
IU normally has a big crowd at the tournament. Maybe it’s a combination of being in Minneapolis and apathy that kept the IU crowd away.
MSP was a bad choice by the B1G.
B1G refs just suck at their job. Have for a while.
Gabe has done a nice job defensively tonight. His footwork is excellent.
Most of the time. He’s had some pretty horrible blow bys. But not many. He’s been solid.

The foul called on X in front of IUs bench was so bad. Inexplicable.
Only thing uglier than this style of ball game is the refereeing. Horrible. Both teams getting screwed equally.

Everyone but the officials. I often wonder if they go and watch the replay of the game and see firsthand how bad they are at their "job".
Who in their right mind would go there for anything? Anything?

Minneapolis has serious issues, just like almost any U.S. city, but when you actually go there it’s fine and there are plenty of nice things to do and places to go.
MR seemed out of it at times. 5 dumb TOs Add in MM and they were a combined 8-27. Both took some really bad, unadvised shots. Cupps and Leal hitting threes but no kick outs to them. I always wonder if Woodson even corrects these guys and lets them know what they’re doing wrong.
