Target center crowd/ game comments

What?! Nebraska is one of the best fanbases in the country and they rocked the Target Center last night. So did Illinois. Get your head checked.
Sure, Nebraska fans showed this year after the best season they ever had. The Walmart jacket fans of UM, MSU, OSU and Indiana are the typical travelers for B10 basketball tourney. UI has a big alumni base but it's not like the others I mentioned. How many B10 tourneys have you been to?

This again is just false. Illinois consistently has one of the largest contingents at every BTT. FFS, the 2022 Illini/IU BTT game IN Indianapolis was a 50/50 crowd.

Not to mention OSU and Michigan fans travel awfully for the BTT and are hardly ever among the largest crowds (which are usually IU, Purdue, Illinois and MSU in Indy, and Illinois, Wisconsin, IU and MSU in Chicago).

The only fanbase that is bigger than ours is Kentucky, and we hold our own against them. I’m not sure any other fans could schedule 50/50 neutral site games like we used to at The RCA Dome and Freedom Hall — Im glad that is returning.

And they’re a little different with no pro sports in KY, the Cats are their “pro” team. Poor IU fans just love ball.

It’s a shame we waste all our program could be with poor hires and management. It sucks for the players who don’t get to win anything or make tourney runs, and the fans don’t get to support a team trying to accomplish something meaningful.
They didnt use to be bigger than ours. And yes, them not having a pro team helps their cause. 40% of them just walk around with clothing on and dont even follow basketball. And they get credit for that.

IU/Illinois wasnt 50/50 in Indy. 60/40 IU was more like it.
