Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz is going to be roasted.

Closing some Starbucks locations in DEM-controlled cities due to increasing lawlessness and risks to employees.

Defund the police . . . . More Soros-financed DAs.
Too bad @mcmurtry66 isn't here. Love to hear his thoughts on possibly not being able to purchase a venti pumpkin spice latte with eight shots of espresso, seven pumps of pumpkin sauce, and one pump of maple pecan sauce from his local barista

Holy crap. Is that close to something people actually drink? I hate coffee. Hate the smell. When I become King the crap will be banned.

Those “coffee” drinks are loaded with cream, spices, and sugar. They taste more like desert than coffee. Even you would have no problem drinking one.

For the longest time I had no idea what a Frappacino was. Then my daughter made me get one. I told her it was basically a Jamocha Shake from Arby's at twice the cost.

She had no idea what i was talking about.

We need to talk.
My wife bought an entry level Keurig a while back. It makes a fine cup of coffee but it's not worth the hassle. I'm no coffee snob. Coffee is a caffeine delivery system, nothing more. I can have my cup of Folgers in 90 seconds flat.

I’ve saved lots of money in my life by not liking coffee. I have a stockpile of Starbucks cards from gifts. Get tea and hot chocolate occasionally. I’m sure I’d like some of the foo foo drinks but not going to waste the calories.

Keurig, the best way to turn a $6.99 every 3 weeks habit into a $60 a month habit, without even counting the cost of the unit, the trashed thrown away cups and trips to go buy the damn things.
$25 black and Decker pot (last for 5 years) and a $6.99 can of folgers.

She bought the reloadable cartridges that you use with regular ground coffee, so we're not paying for the sealed cup things at $1.50 a pop. Of course, she had to buy a little coffee grinder and beans to round out the whole package. She gives me shit for not using it all the time and I'll humor her some mornings when I'm not in a hurry.

She is ahead of the Keurve (see what I did there? :) ) spend $100 a month, say FVCK it, get the reloadable cartridge, say FVCK all that extra work. go back to a Black and decker, do all all of that loading crap for 12 cups, ONCE.
It makes sense to me, I drink a pot (at least) at a day by myself. The Keurig was donated to the next sucker.

Her big vice is kitchen gadgets. This is the latest. With most of them I end up benefiting since she likes using them and knows how. I get home made bread out of the commercial grade Kitchen Aid mixer I bought her three or four years ago.

I can think of many many worse vice's! Kitchen gadgets are killer! All of what I have said about the Keurig ISN'T because my neighbor went through the evolution... If you are pickin up what I am puttin down.

BAck in the day, when my two oldest daughters were growing up, pancakes where my (and their) thing. I had every gadget, dipper, dripper, mixer, bowl, pan, cooker, stir, recipe there was to be had. Hell, I was ask to cook the pancakes at every firemans pancake breakfast for a 2 county radius.
Damn, I gotta go check my syrup and peanut butter stock pile now..

I’m not snob level (yet) but I’ve moved to grinding my own beans in the morning. Whole process takes ten minutes from grind to cup. The staple is the two pound bag of Starbucks house blend from sams club which costs about $17. Lasts two weeks.

Those things make the worst cup of coffee, regardless of the coffee. They shoot the hot water through a small hole and don’t leave time for it to marinate into goodness, before flowing into the cup. I’m strictly a slow drip coffee drinker. Cancel any future dinner party invitation you might send me if you’re serving K-cups.

I'll cancel that 30 Case I had teed up at the Castle then.

French press, when done right (meaning8-12 mins) is great too. I haven’t moved into the world of pour overs but I could see it happening before too long.

I have two poor over apparatuses. One cheap plastic Malita and another stainless steel one that doesn’t use a paper filter.

You’ll see a record Kangaroo Court fine in the morning.

Great hijack. Let’s see. Former Dem presidential candidate, woker than woke, fighting unionization, totally disses Dem cities/administrations/defunding by closing some stores in Dem cities because the cities are unsafe for workers and customers. (Maybe they should have tried free coffee and donuts for the beat cops.)

What do we get? Coffee bean grinding. Maybe the least exciting and useless activity since watching a soccer match.

Come on. You gotta respect the subtlety of it all

About as subtle as two crayons stuck up your nostrils or the noise from these guys on our street who have been digging and installing the fiber optic infrastructure crap since 0700, or 14+ hours. And these dudes haven’t been fvcking around.
Pay by the job and more work gets done. Amazing how that happens.

Buy the Aldi coffee. It’s all good. The German roast is great. Half the price of grocery store stuff and very good.

Just so. These guys have to be exhausted beyond belief. Most were digging some deep holes in hard ground.

Did piss off one neighbor who works at home and has three kids. They cut his cable (internet/TV/phone) and Spectrum won’t/can’t come out to get him back up until Tuesday. He’s going to go medieval on someone’s ass.
