Of the Colts game?

Sorry if I missed this discussed elsewhere.

All the security requirements, travel costs, etc..all to create a political stunt?

They were retiring #18 at half time. VP was worried what Mrs. VP was going to do with that jersey, or without it.

Apparently "political stunt" is code for "fundraising opportunity."

So, basically the VP spent 500K of our money (or more) to stage a political stunt, and then went on to raise money for themselves after based off the stunt. Don’t forget part two of the equation.

If that’s not reverse Robin hooding, I’m not sure what is. And all of this AFTER all of the out of control travel expenses by the entire cabinet (save maybe a few people) have been recently brought to light. Many of these trips involved... fund raising as the sole component. But at least those had a sole type of purpose, vs the trips to inspect the gold/eclipse watching (Mnuchin) and the guy that basically toured Europe’s castles with his wife.

The “swamp” has re-generated (actually never was touched) and created mega (maga?) swamp creatures. It’s ridiculous that the narrative exists that Trump and his team are for the “little guy”.

They’re completely making fools of folks like Lucy (hi Lucy!). When his base figures out that they pinned their hopes on a guy and his team that are violating their hopes and dreams even more than those that Trump and his team raised against, there’s going to be hell to pay.

It really reminds me of the book “animal farm” in some ways- the animals that pledged to change things certainly did so- but only in ways that benefitted them personally. I’d recommend that everyone read it re-read it again. It’s a short book- but even though it’s really abo

However, I’m not sure the Trump lemmings will ever figure it out. I’m not hopeful they will. I’ve never seen a group of folks more blind or unwilling to re-evaluate things.

And that includes the dems that ran Hillary. I didn’t think much could top that. I was wrong. This is a whole other level of deliberate ignorance.

Good use of an opportunity, don't you think.

Oh, your source, Jake Tapper, just so no one thinks he's not part of the leftist political/journo team---"In 1992, Tapper served as a Campaign Press Secretary for Democratic congressional candidate Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky (PA-13), and later served as her congressional press secretary. Tapper also worked for Powell Tate, a Washington, D.C., public relations firm run by Democrat Jody Powell and Republican Sheila Tate. Tapper also worked briefly for Handgun Control, Inc. (now the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence) in 1997.[19]" From Wicki. Tapper is a leftist political operator faking journalism. That's ok, but only if his bias is disclosed.

Oh, not another "leftist". Do you have anything else in your vocabulary?

Pence is a fraud. Wasting $500k of tax dollars for a stunt is "good use of an opportunity" only in your twisted head.

Its a good word - leftist - encompassing all loonies more than a step or two left of center out to the Communists and facists of the left. Sure that's lots, but includes virtually all of the people you see on MSM news and commentary - and those who make no effort to conceal their progressive/socialist/communist/you pick 'em agenda like CNN and MSNBC. It includes all but about 5 liberals on this board. They are extreme as is their national agenda and those who support it. That's why they oughta get beat in elections and might just have a lot to do with Dems/Socialists/Progressives losing 1007 elected positions at state level and above in the last 3 election cycles. You don't suppose all those Dems got hammered because the voters agreed with their agenda do you? They got beat because their policies are bad for America and the voters know it.

You are right...the left isn't in power. So why are you still obsessing over them?

And what does it have to do with Pence's incredibly wasteful political stunt?

Karen Pence: Mike, I prayed this morning that we wouldn't have to sit through the entire game.

Mike Pence: Trust me, your prayers will be answered.

All of that gobledygook nonsense to say you are all for wasting half a million dollars because your side did it for an "opportunity"?

I'm pretty sure the answer to this particular "jeopardy" question is "What is GERRYMANDERING?" Actual results show that Democratic vote totals ARE not matching up with election results. One of the reasons the SCOTUS decided to take the current Wisconsin gerrymandering case is the "efficiency gap" metric...

"How the “efficiency gap” works
To illustrate, take a state with five districts: two won easily by Democrats, 76 percent to 24 percent, and three won more narrowly by Republicans, 59 percent to 41 percent. Democrats waste 26 percent of the vote in the two districts they win and 41 percent in the three districts they lose. Republicans waste 24 percent of the vote in the two districts they lose and 9 percent in the three districts they win. Over all, Democrats get 55 percent of the statewide vote but just 40 percent of the seats, yielding a pro-Republican efficiency gap of 20 percent.

The Wisconsin map at issue in Whitford is like this example — only with 99 districts instead of five. According to one of the plaintiffs’ experts, University of Wisconsin professor Kenneth Mayer, there are 42 districts in which the Republican candidate typically wins between 50 percent and 60 percent of the vote. In contrast, there are just 17 where the Democrat prevails this narrowly.

There’s also only a single district in which the Republican candidate usually wins more than 75 percent of the vote, compared to 10 where the Democrat triumphs this easily. It is this asymmetric cracking and packing that yields many more Democratic than Republican wasted votes. It’s what’s responsible for the Wisconsin plan’s double-digit pro-Republican efficiency gaps: 13 percent in 2012, 10 percent in 2014, and 11 percent in 2016."
