It depends on when, at some point people like Newsom already were planning on '28. They would not have wanted to risk losing in 24.

So if he had announced in 22, I think Newsom would have won. Anything after that and I think it would have been Harris.

She would have been destroyed like last time. She’s a uniquely terrible candidate. The perfect totem of identity politics. Good riddance

She would not have been the candidate, but I’m also not certain it would have mattered. She was a bad candidate IMO, but I’m not sure any D could have won this one.

She would have no chance of being the candidate. They would’ve chosen a Newsom or a Klobuchar and would have steamrolled.
Disagree. Clyburn made it very clear she should be the candidate. If the Democrats would have denied the female POC they would have gotten trounced. .
