Sounds like dad's a drunk who was abusive and then absent. The boy was raised mostly by his stepmom. He moved a lot and attended at least 7 different schools. I'm assuming the sister is in that same shitty situation. There's a wikipedia entry about him with the family situation that appears to be decently sourced.
