I love Saffold but at 34 years old, the money he'll demand and the performance of the guards presently with the Colts.. he'd be a poor pickup.

He was selected to the Pro Bowl this year based on his performance from previous years.... He was not very good in 2021 and he's a perfect example of being selected because he never got the recognition he should have received years before....

This season his pass protection was poor, at best. He gave up 26 pressures on 467 pass-blocking snaps, a pressure rate of 5.57% that ranked 47th out of 68 qualified guards....The Titans’ QB's held the ball for an average of only 2.56 seconds... third-lowest in football... and Saffold's adjusted pressure rate (which accounts for how long the player’s quarterbacks hold the ball) was 5.93%, ranking 53rd out of 68 qualifiers.

Again, love Saffold but I think the Colts, regardless of them having a huge bucket to pay from, would be wasting their money. Plus, they're already pretty deep at the guard position and the current guards have more years to give on top of it.
