Russia-Ukraine war has begun

Abrams tanks to Ukraine soon:

Bring it !!! they are making good, strategic gains around and past Robotyne. Getting close to cutting off some major transport routes. (if reports are accurate). MUST get a little closer to shut down those bridges and rail lines so they can't feed the invaders.

This salient got larger … it’s still a question how tough are the second line trenches will be.

Keep pushing boys. It's slow progress but they are deal with a bunch of mines and the Orcs are pulling reserves from the east. Even with that, the good guys are pushing. Gotta get to Takmak or close.

Good article, but I have to chuckle at the mention of 'elite' Russian units.

Those F16s from the Netherlands can't come online fast enough.

Pretty impressive flyover of F16s over Memorial Stadium Saturday, eh?

I am anxious to see how they use the 16's. UK has been beating the hell out of the orcs air defense and ammo stockpiles (or so reports say). The newest reported toy that UK has started using, is a larger drone that can carry the 10kg AT mines that russia has laid millions of. UK is currently flying them back and giving them back to the orcs. A HOLE lot of jagga jagga ! !

Speaking of navies, heard a story that Musk disabled Starlink in Crimea to stop its use to guide naval drone attacks in Sevastopol.

DW reports … Musk never activated Starlink in Sevastopol … in 2022 … and refused a Ukrainian request to activate Starlink to support such attack … in 2022.

I think he made the right choice … supporting Ukraine with Starlink … in the interest of free speech was lauded. Allowing it to be used to support a military operation … becomes material support.

https://www.dw.com/en/ukraine-musk-...aid he refused,attack on Russia's fleet there.

"with Ukraine"?
I haven't dug in deep, but it seems that this was mostly "frog men" and planning from the US side, not so much ships. There's been some conflicting stories of what all was/ is included in "maneuvers" . Ukraine do have some Naval Special forces, although no (or not many) large boats, mostly small swift attack or AI craft.
I was hoping Aloha had some inside scoop.

I'm not sure if Musk was correct or not. There's the argument that he has a utility for the masses, with a multitude of capabilities to be utilized. How could it be proper to turn that utility off (or limit it from) that helps you defend yourself? Obviously I am jaded to support the Ukraine side. Did he turn it off in Moscow?

https://ts2.space/en/starlinks-role...f satellites is,networks may not be available.

10 CM CEP geolocation would place a drone torpedo on the exact targeted compartment of a ship in Sevastopol’s harbor.

What's the difference in using Starlink in Crimea for military operations vs using it in the rest of Ukraine for military purposes?

I get that, I'm just surprised we would conduct such an exercise with a nation currently at war.

So because warships are valuable they're not valid military targes?

Makes no sense.
Because they are such high value targets, the perceived aid in their destruction becomes more valuable.

The geolocation services in the rest of Ukraine … and Russia could be degraded … for all I know.

There are multiple constellations of geolocation satellites … Russia, Europe, and China all have their own.

The precision Ag. apps using Starlink is what made Starlink easily improvised into munitions terminal guidance.

USAF created JDAM smart bombs using GPS.

I don't think Russia uses, or has access to, Starlink, but I don't know that for sure.

Well that was my question that I assumed was kind of obvious. On one hand it seems like poking a bees nest where "we" have been attempting to steer clear of (but I love), on the other hand it seems that we are ok to poke a bees nest... :)
If it distracts Putty, I'm ok with bringing hell fire down on Russia.

I suspect they fell victim to one of the great enemies of militaries, overconfidence, and have a lot of ships there.
It may not have been in that article but there were overhead pic's of 12-15 ships all doc'd there and the mouth into/ out of that port was tiny. If the Orcx are confident about anything right now, I honestly don't know how. Mercy.

Much like our fleet at Pearl Harbor in 1941.
