Why isn’t it a foul for a bigger offensive person to force a smaller defensive player from a post position? For example watching Kofi back down a defender in the lane so he can get closer to the basket and await a pass. How is the different than a charge? The defender clearly has established a position.

Have always thought that as well. Just because you are 40 pounds heavier doesn’t give you the right to bowl over a defender in good position.
it is a constant. Might as well put on the pads.

You see it get called when they back in with extreme force. Only thing left the big man really has in the game, I like it. I think if you can back in without throwing elbows or hips like Shaq use to do. You should be allowed, that is a weapon for the big man. I like it.

My perception has been that as long as the contact is with the legs and below the waist they will let it go. Same thing in rebounding position. As long as You aren't gaining advantage by using your arm or driving your Shoulder into the Defender's chest it seems to be allowed.

The frustrating thing is watching that go on and then watching them call a ticky tack hand check foul 25 feet from the Basket that provides no advantage to anyone.

The best way to negate that is a quick aggressive double team making them give it up before they can start backing in. Leaves potential 3 point shots open but you have to pick your poison against physical talented bigs.

Wasn't it a few years ago that they stated that they were going to start calling it a fowl when an offensive player displaces a defensive player that is in legal position? I thought it was a good idea.
Kofi just clears people out and that doesn't seem like what basketball should be about.
