Rona J Trump

That's a really tragic story. But I'm not sure how it relates to the post I made, which was a rebuttal to your idea to intentionally get a "mild case"...
I wouldnt want to contract it intentionally, but if it's really inevitable, I'd just as soon get it over with.

The story about Dale was to support the notion that time's-a-wasting and I choose to live unafraid of Covid. I know Dale wishes he hadn't been locked down for the last 6 months or spent the last year before that feeling sorry for himself. It feels like we have all been on pause, but it doesn't work like that.

Notre Dame students have a petition to fire their President. The students are required to wear masks on campus and at official events. He was a Notre Dame representative at an event and was not wearing a mask.

They have a point.
Damn right they have a point. He should grow some balls and slap on a mask for optics at bare minimum, instead he bowed down to the big bully at the lunch table and his cronies.

One way to lead, and that’s by example. It’s makes no difference to me if he would have gotten the virus with or without a mask. How in the exact F can you be a president of a university at a function on camera in this climate without a mask?

Now two Senators at the ACB Rose Garden event, along with Trump and the pres of Notre Dame, have tested positive. IF, and it is if, that is the triggering event we have to wonder just how much using outdoors as a sole protection helps.

I just now saw video taken at that event on Rachel. The crowd sat tightly packed, mingled afterwards, mostly maskless, talking closely face to face, with a lot of hugging and hand shaking and pecks on the cheek. They weren't even trying.

I've had multiple gatherings this summer. Just got back from a weekend of camping at a state park. No positives from any of those events.

My daughter works at Amazon. Her throat closed up last week and she was running a fever. Amazon gave her 2 paid weeks off before she was even tested. She also had a toothache. I told her go to the dentist. Turns out, she needed her wisdom teeth out and it caused the infection in her throat and the fever. Covid test negative. One more paid week off to recover from todays oral surgery.

Hug your peeps.

Boris Johnson had all but recovered then wound up in the ICU. I think I would not let my guard down. I am also not afraid of it.

A friend of mine, mid-40's with 3 young boys, who I trade music with sometimes, got divorced last year. He talked and posted for 6 months about how sucky life is. This year, all I heard was how sucky the 'rona lockdowns are and unfair it all is.

Two weeks ago his arm went numb so he went to the ER to get checked for a stroke. Monday he posts that he has glioblastoma and doesnt know how to tell his kids.

Tick-tock tick-tock.... Everyday is precious. I won't let fear of Covid ruin the time I got left. I do what I can do and the rest is not my business.

Really sorry about your friend, hillz. Glioblastoma is a tough one. Lost my sister to one over a decade ago, but they've made incredible progress in treating them in the last ten years. It's a helluva fight, but it's a fight that people are winning more and more, so give your friend love, hope, and support even when it looks bleak. I'll be rooting for him.

Thanks, hoos. Feeling powerless sucks. I've spent years getting an understanding of just how little control I have over such things, and I've barely scratched the surface. His doctors give some hope, but like you said, its a tough one.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.

Imagine going from travelling the world with Obama to daily rounds of golf and hillbilly rallies in the sticks?!!
I am highly doubtful they will jump in front of a bullet for this guy.

was he before being in office?

Yeap.

Besides when you have so little empathy for the 200,000+ people who perished under his watch --- other than to tout his own achievement by saying that if not for him, it could be 2 million as many many people have said.
He has blood on his hands. Thousands died because of his political games and ignorance.

No. I have ZERO sympathies for him -- and will not pretend that karma together with a huge dollop of self-inflicted stupidity caused his own situation.

They were less than a foot from each other. Its no different to being at a sporting event or a packed concert.

We have scenarios where people are gathering outdoors here. But they are all like socially distant, at least 1m apart -- AND they all wear the mandatory mask.

You know the Soviets gamed out such decapitation theories for decades, this would have been one that was a bit too unbelievable for them.

Dr Gupta was just saying being outdoors provides "18 fold" protection. But he added duration, distance, and lack of masks offset that somewhat.

That's a horrible situation for your friend. Just awful.

Of course as we get older the odds are constantly changing against us. I want to say it starts really excellerating after 48 or something.

Definitely agree with you in spirit. Cherish every day because at some point it will be your last.

I also believe there are things you can control and things you really can't to improve your odds.

I don't believe Covid will be a long term virus. Call it faith or call it historical precedent. At most I think it's two years of inconvenience before we can get back to normal.

That's Cody Zeller's IU career.

In the meantime we can greatly improve our odds if we just use common sense. Masks to me are simple common sense.

If this was a personal virus then I wouldn't be such a psycho about it....but it's an airborne contagion. So I'm kind of dependent on you here to give me the best odds to make it to the sweet sixteen game vs Syracuse.

A virus like aids had a simple solution to guarantee that I could protect myself....stop whoring, find a clean partner or keep all of those national geographic mags and a big supply of jergens.

This isn't like that.

More and more evidence is that last Saturday's rose garden event was the super spreader. So far everyone that has tested positive from that event was mask less, even though it was outside.

Thom Tillis reportedly was masked. But still, yeah, wear the fooking mask.

He's outside and well past socially-distanced. Everyone he's in close contact with gets screened often. Can you say the same for your self?
Remember, it doesn't have to kill you to cause massive, expensive problems.

Here you go. For your education about the safety of the White House "safest bubble" you were telling us about.

The coincidences continue to hit the Trump White House....

I guess Parscale is back in the game... oh wait....

I read this evening that there were several indoor receptions at the White House last Saturday too. The outdoor part was just the ceremony.

She will be forever known as Amy COVID Barrett.

You’ve been exceptionally active the last 24 hours. It’s almost like something has happened that has gotten you really excited.

You used to be a liberal but easy going jokester one this board. Like many Trump has turned you vindictive and spiteful, it’s not a good look.

Why do you like Trump if you don’t think vindictive and spiteful is a good look?

Nah. You clearly don't see irony when it hits you in the face.

As mentioned before its tough to evoke empathy for a lying, racist, who has been responsive for the deaths of thousands of people.

Once you can bridge that chasm, get back to me.
