A friend of mine, mid-40's with 3 young boys, who I trade music with sometimes, got divorced last year. He talked and posted for 6 months about how sucky life is. This year, all I heard was how sucky the 'rona lockdowns are and unfair it all is.
Two weeks ago his arm went numb so he went to the ER to get checked for a stroke. Monday he posts that he has glioblastoma and doesnt know how to tell his kids.
Tick-tock tick-tock.... Everyday is precious. I won't let fear of Covid ruin the time I got left. I do what I can do and the rest is not my business.
That's a horrible situation for your friend. Just awful.
Of course as we get older the odds are constantly changing against us. I want to say it starts really excellerating after 48 or something.

I also believe there are things you can control and things you really can't to improve your odds.
I don't believe Covid will be a long term virus. Call it faith or call it historical precedent. At most I think it's two years of inconvenience before we can get back to normal.
