I suspect we all have heard the phrase, "avoid that like the plague". One would think, I don't know, a plague would be something to avoid like the plague.
It seems very well known that people do not mask in the White House. I get the building is crowded and social distancing isn't possible. All the more reason to mask.
Hillz makes a big deal about not being fearful. It is no more fearful to wear a mask than to put on a seatbelt. It is no more fearful than owning a fire extinguisher, or putting on a lifevest while boating.
Just use simple precautions and you can live your life reasonably normal. Mask, distance, wash. The White House purposely avoided two of these.
When we debated George Floyd, there were a couple posters who said because he was on drugs he did not deserve any sympathy. Some are saying that about Trump for ignoring common sense. I have sympathy for both. I wish Trump had not gotten it, and I hope he is over it quickly.
Now above, many doubted my hope Trump will change. Yes, I have no evidence he will come out of this a "better man". But part of my liberalism is that people can change, can make themselves better. There are a few that test that belief in the White House and here, but I still believe it. I do not know it will happen with Trump, but I choose to believe it can happen. It does get harder when one gets older.
