RIP...

Did you know there is a special Barnes and Noble edition of MAD magazine? Neither did I until my 16 y/o daughter just HAD TO HAVE the final book of some dumb series she's reading and couldn't wait for Amazon to deliver (don't ask, she's too steampunk for a Kindle).

There were a couple older boys who lived behind us and kept every issue so I grew up looking at satirical Mad magazines, starting in the late 1950's. From an ad in the magazine I purchased a bust of Alfred E. Newman on ceramic glazed pedestal that I still have to this day, sitting on my home "office" desk as we speak. It was $2.00 back then but can now be found on eBay, asking for ~ $250.00. "What, Me Worry?"
