Your warning light on? You haven't seen any on the ground, correct?
If so, you can take it to a auto zone, or some place like that and they'll give you a free diagnostic.
I wouldn't worry. The coolant reservoir has two fill lines, full at top and low toward the bottom. If it's above the low line you're good.
If your heater quits blowing hot air then that probably means coolant is low.
If your warning light isn't on, I'd just top it off.
If it's on, go get it diagnosed so you make sure you don't have a bigger problem.

I put over 300,000 miles on a truck and car, 400,000 on another car. Over half of those miles my check engine light was on. Every one because a stupid sensor of some sort went bad.
Your check engine light wouldn't be on if you put some black tape over it.
