Prediction for upcoming season

Called it - total dodge.

IU will finish better than 5th in Conference. Ready to walk your talk now coward? Or rather Dana Pt., Ordfan, Ewerzfan, bigredfredd, blockchargelarge, staytuned and too many other names to remember. What's the over/under on how long you last this time?
He's a troll because you disagree with him on his 5th place prediction? IU hasn't seen to the tourney the last two seasons and is coming off 16 wins. We all hope that IU will be WAY better this year but it's far from a guarantee. His prediction is no less likely than the people expecting Big Ten championship and elite 8/final 4.

Let people have their own opinion then we can discuss it, that's what this board is for. Just because you disagree with someone doesn't make them a troll.

Quit clogging up threads with this gibberish.

And what would you call someone who's been banned from this site half-a-dozen times in the last 12 months? Best lecture someone else you newbie ignorant twit.
You have proof or are you making that up? Kind of sad that you get your jollies playing hall monitor on an IU message board. Ignorant twit? Who the hell talks like that? Somehow I imagine you've spent a lot of Saturday nights staying up and jerking it to old Shakespeare stories, at least pretend that you are from this millennium.

22-9 overall, 13-7 in conference, 3rd or 4th place. At least one win in BTT. This is a tourney or bust season. No excuses.

Women and the police, but certainly not anyone who's had to rename themselves a dozen times just to post. Done this before, not again, so go ahead and get your last word in - content having outed you for at least the third time which generally heralds you getting banned in short order. Time you start working on that next screen name...

Geeze...stop feeding the troll. Ruins every thread.

They’ve turned over half the team, and that youth and inexperience will make for some challenges, particularly on the road in the BiG 10. Talent is great, but experience is invaluable.
All that ‘experience’ last season led to a mediocre season. The fact is at best our departing veterans were very average players and leaders. Romeo is playing on a bigger stage for sure, but does anyone seriously think his brilliant high school career and comp against great players hasn’t prepared him to play at the college level? Morgan and Fitzner are 4-year players. DeVonte and Justin have played a lot of minutes. Race and McFloorburn are very adequate backups or potential starters. The newbies, other than Romeo, will not have critical roles. Davis probably won’t either but if he’s healthy he could be a factor too.
No excuses. Good teams have turnover every year and get better. If we can’t get better after losing guys like RoJo and Josh and McFly, and our returning players don’t grow and become more familiar with the system, and Romeo is a mediocre college player, then Archie is a lot worse of a coach then we all think.

What you imagine is your own affair but not surprised to hear it's about other people jerking off. GLWT.

That's right boy scout, I never bring anything else to this forum. Blow it out your ass. You can report that as well.
Does your mother know you are on the internet. Is it your job to ruin the board for everyone else because it is you are doing a great job. I at least talk about the game of basketball unlike you who starts threads to call out other posters.

My perspective is based on watching a great deal of Iu hoops through the years. In the BiG 10 and especially on the road, IU gets every team’s best game. It’s a circled game when the schedule comes out, and opposing arenas are generally as full and into it as they’ll be for any game all season. That’s shown to be a lot for young teams to handle, and IU will be a young team.

She's dead, thanks for asking. Tell you what bright boy, compare the threads you've started in the last three months with those that I have and then tell me again how I "start threads to call out other posters". Oh wait, you haven't started a single thread during that time. Turns out I've started over 60 and only one "called out" another poster who as it happens has been banned so many times no one can keep count. "Ruin the board"? Given that your principle contribution here is 3rd grade-level literacy/grammar/insight, that sounds about right.

He's a troll because he's been banned six times in 12 months. "Gibberish" is his forte, and apparently, yours. Cheers.

I don't really start many threads and I did not realize you were the English professor of the board. The people who worry about spelling and grammar on a message board are usually compensating for their lack of basketball knowledge.

I’m going to say it now. IU will be in the Elite 8 this year. I have a good feeling about it based off of JM and RL as the two studs. Plus, Justin Smith seems to be a forgotten man. His ceiling will be high this season. I love the length and size IU has on this roster. Mark it down. Take it to the bank. Remind me in March how right I was.
I agree with you (or the possibility anyway). This team could be explosive, but lets see how CAM uses them. This team just needs a couple solid players that show up ever game and none listed above.

Most posters should be able to do both. If a person doesn't know basketball or can't write coherently, they probably shouldn't be writing about basketball. (Or anything else.) Both conditions are disqualifiers.

Getting burned by a troll and Scott isn’t a good look for you. Quitting your attacks before the stench of desperation and despair permeates this site might be a good idea.

Burned? Stench of desperation and despair? Gracious, sounds pretty serious/Shakespearean for a message board.

The increasingly lengthy intervals of relatively collegial, germane and even elevated banter that ensue when this Board is free of Ordfan/larryismyname's machinations are well worth any alleged cost to my rep/cred, but don't imagine that idiots like that and randyjenkins disappear simply because everyone ignores them.

May want to temper expectations a little. Looking at the BIG schedule 8 of the first 12 games are on the road. Could be pretty tough to get any momentum.

Aren't you going to go hungry?
C'mon fellas Let's not get at each other's throats. You and Rikki are both good posters. This is exactly what that guy creates. Don't let him win by destroying the board.
You declare IUScott And Rikki good posters? Lmao. Get drug tested immediately!

Why can't you just discuss something instead of just name calling. Both you and Larry deserve to be banned and I have reported you to the mods..
As a courtesy service from the public, stay away from this board. If reporting is all you do, there is no purpose for you being here. If you belong to another IU site, stay there in your safe space. Grown-ups and banter happen here. This isn't the minor leagues. The majority want to read whatever is posted, just not to your terms. On a side note....please, please, please put a "?" when necessary. I have never seen you use it.

My prediction is that that we will finish with 8 losses at the end of Big Ten season. Go Hoosiers!

Hoosier will be much better this year and the team will be better by the end of the season peaking end of the year.

Last year, players where trying to learn how to play basketball from a coach who actually knows the game...

This year they can spend less time on basic fundamentals and more on team ball and winning games.

They will be very good for years to come.

We are not going anywhere unless we fix our problems. 140th in the country in points per possession allowed, horrific free throw and 3pt shooting. Where are the pure shooters? My opinion.

Wow, what an assumption. Nothing in my post is false. I apologize for wasting space on your precious thread. I shall refrain from posting in the future.

New IU Team, best players return, gaining far more talent than what they lost.

Indiana has turned over half the team? I'll admit Rojo would play this year if available. Are we going to miss Newkiri, McSwain, Hartman, and Priller. I wouldn't say we turned over, but we have upgraded.

You need to familiarize yourself with the new roster.

It would be nice if we had a guard that we know can shoot though. We don't really have any great shooters but if Romeo, Green, and McRoberts get close to 35% we should be dangerous enough that teams cant completely collapse on Juwan.

I have to think that's the only way McRoberts sees significant time this year.

They won’t miss Priller but they’ll definitely miss the other guys. Experience is huge, especially in conference play and definitely on the road. IU still gets everyone’s best game.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, you’re a complete clown.

Miss newkirk and Hartman?

I have to think that's the only way McRoberts sees significant time this year.

Green shot over 50% from 3 the last 12 games of the season.

And Fitzner shot 40% last year at St Mary’s (making almost 2 a game)

I’m expecting around 38% from Romeo.

McRoberts probably isn’t going to be counted on to shoot the 3

Hartman struggled due to injury which made him almost completely ineffective from outside in the last half of the season. It really had nothing to do with his experience. If he had been healthy, he would have helped a lot.

McSwain was physically very strong for IU but he was grossly undersized for his position (center) in the Big Ten. Had he been 6'10" he would have been a heck of a defender last year. I really thought he played the right way with his toughness.

Rob Johnson was an asset without any question. It took him longer than expected to adjust to an offense where creating off the dribble is more highly valued, but he did find rhythm and his shot in games like Iowa, and he is not easy to replace. Im sure Archie would love to have him one more year.
