The ESPN playoff lobby is off and running on SEC two loss schools - get ready to get _____.

ESPN will push this agenda hard, they have been an SEC homer for years.
I think if we get by a point or 30 points, they will start with the see, they played one good team all year and lost.
Get ready because it’s coming, just win the damn game and avoid all the BS.

Reading some information regarding two loss SEC schools and IU if we lose to OSU. All saying two loss SEC gets in instead of us. Entitlement abounds. Go Hoosiers! Beat OSU and end this BS.
I've been warning of this for a while now. So many people here can't see the reality of it and think the ESPN computers are the decision makers. Unfortunately, it is a group of people that are heavily influenced by the powers that be.

I agree. I’ve mentioned it as well and people just love to disagree. Need Texas to win out and we get in. If Texas loses we are out due to the amount of 2 loss SEC teams

Kirby Smart has already started whining. I hope the committee doesn't cede to this bullshit.

There are two weeks of the regular season remaining and so much can happen in that time. Tenn could lose to Vandy, Penn State could lose at Minn., and IU could be OSU. When it all plays out I think IU will be in the playoff and yes, there will be some SEC teams whining about it.

Kirby also conveniently leaves out that his Ole Miss loss was by 3 scores. That’s one eye test.
They beat a 4-win Kentucky team by 1 point. That’s another eye test.
They only beat the last ranked 2-8 Mississippi State in Athens by a margin of 10 and gave up 306 yards passing. That’s another eye test.

If he’s interested in eye tests, don’t lose more than 1 game and blow out the weaker teams.

Playing devil’s advocate, if role’s were reversed and IU had played in SEC and had Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama or Ole Miss’s schedule, what would we be saying? Our weak schedule is a legit argument. Good news is we have the ability to silence everyone this weekend!

Ole Miss played and beat 2 really good teams
They started out the season with Furman, Middle Tennessee State, Wake Forest and Georgia Southern. Hardly muderer’s row. They lost to a 4-win Kentucky at home. They lost to a mediocre LSU team. They finish the season against Florida and winless in the conference Mississippi State.

My argument would be that you lost to 2 teams you never should have lost to and shouldn’t have to be pleading your case.

I think at the end of the day, they put in 4 Big Ten teams and 4 SEC teams. They aren’t going to take all of these 2-loss SEC teams.

I'm tired of reading/hearing all the talk of IU's potential record if they had played an SEC schedule this year. Seriously, watching those teams beat up on each other proves one thing abundantly clear: they all have faults in their games. Bama is far short of usual, GA's offense struggles away from Athens, and Tenn fans are the worst of the bunch (calling out IU as a fake contender) when their offense is the worst of the 2 loss SEC teams. I'm not saying IU would be undefeated and likely would have tripped up a game or maybe even two. However, there is anything but evidence the SEC is their usual conference full of powerhouse teams. Ole Miss may be the closest in terms of the eye test with their ability to ring up big numbers on offense but then they go out and lay an egg against a 3-6 team. IU is a complete TEAM on O and D; something I don't think any SEC team can claim this season. Hopefully, the CFP's confirm the SEC is not who THEY think they are this season.

Still just a guessing game...but I'd guess a big chunk of our CFP chances ride on how we "look" on Saturday. If we look like we belong on the field with OSU, even if we lose, I think there's too much chaos that would need to happen for IU to be left out. If we get thumped, and its obvious watching the game that we aren't at OSU's level, then I think that opens up the door for many teams to jump over us...namely the 2, maybe even 3 loss SEC teams.

When the plans for the new 12 team playoffs were still on the drawing board it was claimed that the strength of schedule would be an important consideration. SOS is a moving target. Especially now with the transfer portal we don’t know how good a team is until the season is over. To think that Indiana went from 17th in the conference to fifth in the country in 10 weeks…..

What doesn’t make any sense is giving conference champions an automatic bye as if all of the conferences are of equal strength.

Notre Dame has one and will only have one decent win and will have the worst loss of all teams.. but they will still get in.
USC could throw a monkey wrench into the Notre Dame - Playoff BS. And yes, I realize USC is a head scratcher with all of their NFL talent but they're a very dangerous team
