Possible solution for next year

Then you'd have to know his view of the matter, since yours does not matter. The question is - does he think IU is a better job than the one he's got. He surely isn't an idiot, but this isn't the IU of some years ago. Have a look. You can see the difference. Well, maybe you can't.
Quality of life has to be a factor. He has children in the area so perhaps he and his wife want to be near them. It's probably why he took the TT job after already being part of UNLV.

I can see you're an idiot. Go back to your TT boards.
You don't have anything except short bursts of stupidity for this board. You don't know me and you can look as long as you want and you'll never see me on a TT board. You are really pitiful. Your own posts condemn you.

I am going to assume he isn't idiot and he knows Indiana is a better job. It's comical that you would actually even type that.
What's comical is that you think IU is still an elite job. We hire mid-level conference coaches who will hopefully compete at the highest levels. What's that tell you?

The issue is your first post showed a complete lack of understanding of college basketball programs (and let's bet honest. You made the post to be somewhat of an a#s). I assume the argument you were trying to make, is he won't leave, because he is from Texas and he doesn't want to leave for personal reasons . You could be correct on that, but it wasn't the argument you made.

You instead led with, "he likely doesn't think IU is a better job than the one he's got." Chris Beard knows IU is a better job/progam than TT. If he doesn't leave it will be because of personal reasons, not because TT is suddenly a better job than IU. How about this? If/when IU is looking for a new coach, I would like for them to make an offer to Chris Beard.

It tells me our A.D. and administration are awful and should be fired. All the built in advantages that Knight had are still at Indiana.

13 and you included football coaches? you're not even good at google.

PS Charlie Parker was never fired from jazz. lol

Charlie Parker was fired from USC and Tubby was fired at Memphis. You asked for coaches and made the claim nobody fired coaches after 2 years. Schools with a lot less history fire coaches after 2 years because they don’t meet expectations.

IU apparently doesn’t do what other schools do because, hey, we’re IU and we do things our way....to miserable results.

The Celtics gave Brad an extension in 2016, can't recall for how many more yrs (original contract in 2013 was for 6 yrs). Danny Ainge is an uber- competitive summbitch. Stevens isn't leaving Boston until Ainge falls out of love with Brad, and that's not happening any time soon. They are in the middle of the playoff pic again this year even with an up/down season, injuries and Kyrie drama.

Brad Stevens isn't coming to coach at IU. It pains me to write that, but that shipped sailed several yrs ago. We have to let that dream go.
unless he gets fired

dumb. finding 13 after an exhaustive search means, in essence, no on fires their coach that early. think about that -- 13 of all the firings over the last 20 years or so. probably looking at .001% here.. plus you listed a couple guys who were promoted assistants. lol

again, you are really bad at defending your emotional statements.

Astounding to believe IU was better record-wise last season with erratic guard play and no Romeo. Coaches who are supposedly turning things around get better years 1-3, not worse.

not always. please wiki the top coaches in our league and the country. seriously, man, you'll see all kinds of fits and starts in their first few years.

not pumping sunshine. lol. i have no idea what Archie becomes but i do know what's happening is not that rare. even the wildly turd-like last 12 games isn't without some precedent.

Look, we can all admit that our main issue is offense and shooting. We cant just fire Archie for some other coach who we dont know for sure could do much better. I say we dont blow this thing up, stay the course with Archie but encourage or demand a coaching staff change to include a shot doctor/offensive guru. These players on this team were not all bad shooters in high school and the only player we are adding right now is Franklin and will he be able to contribute much next year. We need an addition to the staff to improve our offense and shooting.
Tim Buckley is the one coach that I miss from Crean's staff. Many credit him with the shooting improvement of some players over the years. Still, the technique in practice means nothing if they can't bring it into a game. The players still have to control their emotions and make shots when it matters.
