Palisades fire

Like the short sleeve dress shirt. Also known as the Sipowicz.

Hmmmmmmm. I’m obviously familiar but you can call that office wear? And full disclosure on my quarter zips. I started wearing them over dress shirts. Then I put them over golf shirts which felt weird but I adjusted. Now on lazy days I’ll just wear dress t shirts under them. Zipped up a bit higher. But just a hoodie, albeit nice, seems too casual. For years I wore suit pants with dress shirts no tie. It was a bold step to go to lulus
Our entire company got one similar to that as a holiday gift this year. Now granted, the beer industry is a little different(more lax) but it's still typically polos and khakis in the office. Lots of quarter zips. And now Athletic hoodies.

Oh yeah knew a bunch of people in that world . Major Brands. I think they got gobbled up by someone

I don’t push the sleeves up on the jacket. Pair it with black jeans and either black sneakers or - if I want to be more classy - some brown oxford uppers with sneaker bottoms and it’s Baller Time.

I can't pull this off. I'd feel off

Not anywhere near work anyway. This is my favorite time of year for clothing, 1/4 zip sweaters, 1/4 zips, dress shirts underneath (wtih a good colalr). blazers/sport coats in the closet at work ready at a moment's notice. Good khakis (not light) or slacks.

And the dudes with no socks or no show socks with dress shoes. I can't get there.

Also, i'm 6'3" (@BradStevens) and I like long dress shirts (stay tucked better) so I've got that to keep in mind. Spring/Summer we're back to quality golf polos or slim fit dress shirts with the sleeves rolled up right below the elbow.

I don't think I'm getting away with a hoodie.

I don’t think I can do the hoodie either. God dammit. I only wear white or blue dress shirts. There’s a lot to unpack in this pick. What are we doing with belts. I think about that every day. And he’s DISPLAYING his chest hair. Wow wow wow. No idea where we are with that at this point.

What a nightmare

Looks kinda ghey - like not the loud and out there type, but the closeted version.

Also, that look doesn't work well on 5'1", 305 lbs. men. Of course, I am speaking from experience.

Prana hiking pants are a good sub for khakis or dress pants.

Oh I'm all in on stretch anything in my nearing 50 skin. Stiff jeans are for 30 and under.

I like dressing a bit upscale for work. Live into the role. Fake it til you make it. Etc.

Even though I’ve now fully remote, I still dress business casual for “work”. I’ve replaced the slacks with Lulu and Vineyard tech pants in damn near every color available. I’m too old to break certain habits.

There was a guy earlier this winter in these at one of our indoor games. He’s on one of the other teams and everyone kind of knows each other. He changed into them I guess to go out. He came to the bar and we were all laughing and the one guy goes “what’s that R stand for?” And another guy goes Record. Those jeans come with 2 DWIs and a revoked driver license 🤣🤣

The jeans are one thing, but wtf with the shoes?

Two things I no longer buy: pants without stretchable waists and shoes with laces.
Funny story (ish).

After 9/11 I couldn't wear open toed or non laced shoes for almost 20 years. Why you ask? B/c one of the first horror scenarios that came to mind was all the people in open toed shoes or slip ons and whether their casualty/mortality rates were higher than those that had laced shoes.

No kidding. 20 ****ing years. I have overcome this. And no I never worked in city larger than Indy nor in a high rise. Go figure.
