I have a Chinese machine at work. It has wifi capability, but in an area that there is no wifi or cell signal at all. I need to connect to control system via USB to my lap top to clear a lock condition. China gave me an admin password to log in yesterday, but it was not accepted.
So, I just received a new Password that is "good for 24 hours" so I will attempt it 1st thing in the morning. I asked, this machine has no connection to the outside world, so how would it know that it's been 24 hours or not.
The answer was, "The codes are already built into the CPU chip". Which still doesn't answer my question.

Any idea what I am missing? If it's (they) are already in there, then why wasn't the original one already in there and how would it know 24 hours from when the new PW was issued to use unless it's actually connected to something? I'm not saying that I am skeptical, but.
