Consistency is the issue. He hasn’t instilled any sort of consistent style, no consistent effort is demanded.

Consistency leads to familiarity and comfort. It frees you up to play more freely and more aggressive.

There are times when we run good stuff. But it’s sporadic. There are times when we dig in and defend really well. But it’s sporadic. There isn’t anything our guys can “do in their sleep” or rely on. I imagine our guys are in a constant state of indecision and stress in games because no one is on the same page.

Woody needs to do some serious soul searching. There’s a long thread about how I think it’s possible he could turn it around again. But man, he needs to pick some things on offense and defense, recruit to it out of the portal, and get his ass to work teaching and demanding those things as soon as possible this summer.

It really shouldn’t be hard to be moderately successful at IU.
