OKC fans got their lesson in "PG13 speak".

Paul George to OKC in July 2018 - "If ya'll didn't quite get it, let me say it again: I'm here to stay."

Also Paul George to OKC in July 2019 - "I want out"

At least he's increasing the interval between saying he's here to stay and then actually forcing a trade to leave.

Loyalty is a valued trait in the NBA until it interferes with what the team or player wants to do.

It used to be the team that held all the cards, now the pendulum has swung and it's the players. I've always been a fan of a team, hoping that a few good players end up on my team. My son and his friends are fans of players, hoping a few of them end up on the same team. It's amazing how much it's changed in just the last 10-15 years.

Pro lacrosse is trying a different business model. The league “6 teams” is backed by several Big corporate investors. All 6 teams are owned by the league, players share in revenues and are also paid more than in the other established pro-league, for the 14 week season.

There are NO home teams. Each week the league travels to a new location and each team plays one game. There are 2 games on Saturday and one game on Sunday. Fans come to see 3 high quality games.

To draw fans each team has a core of players from the same college. Our favorite team has a core of Terp grads. We have gone to games in Baltimore and Washington D.C. And, the games are broadcast on a major network with a good contract.

Attendance is small compared to other pro sports but so are salaries. An average salary is in the 30 to 40 K range for the 14 weeks, so players have full-time jobs.

As long as Golden State loses I'm good with that. Really all California teams.

What’s the pro lacrosse TV contract worth?

I will take Oladipo over Paul George any day as a Pacer. Oladipo lives Indiana. Paul George always wanted to go back to California and LA. PG finally got his wish. We will see what the curse of the Clippers does for his career. On paper it is by far the best Clippers team ever. But Lebron is with the Lakers.
