Thanks to the Menstrual Dignity Act that just passed, local taxpayers are now on the hook for thousands of new tampon dispensers in boys’ bathrooms. This latest madness, which affects every public school and college in the state, is expected to cost up to $400 a machine. And school custodians aren’t the only ones upset about it.

“This will show all of our youth, and especially our trans youth, that the bathroom they’re using, that affirms their gender, that it’s for them,” argued one Portland resident, “and it has the products there that they might need.”

Legislators agreed, expanding a bill that was originally intended to give female students free sanitary products at school. Now, in an absurd gesture, the state has decided to “affirm the right to menstrual dignity for transgender, intersex, nonbinary, and two-spirit students” by trying to “minimize negative attention that could put them at risk of harm … during menstruation.”

Why are tampons and condoms taxed in some states?
IDK maybe because they are a product that is sold , hence sales tax? WTF does that have to do with public schools installing tampon machines in boys restrooms. I can only imagine the plumbing nightmares beyond the regular stupidity of it A bunch of teenage boys having access to free tampons with no need for them?

These idiots have to be stopped! That's why all 55 candidates Trump endorsed won.

It’s called a sales tax. All retail sales are taxed. Lately it has become fashionable to make a political statement with “sales tax exemptions”. The list of exemptions keeps growing.

My stoker, a retired Jr. High teacher, lol’ed at the woke ignorance as she explained what will happen to those tampons and adhesive pads placed in a Jr. High boys bathroom.

She is right

If I'm the school principal, those dispensers are going to be empty a lot. Damn janitors. If someone bitches, I'll apologize profusely and assure everyone I take these things seriously.

You take menstrual products in jr. High boys bathrooms seriously? Seriously?

Seems like it would be much better to have a 1 person bathroom available for those that don't fit into typical boy or girl bathroom.

But this is hardly some major issue....like the one at the Supreme Court.

Why don't they just do away with bathrooms, and have everyone shit in the hallway. That seems to be a popular thing to do in some areas.

That works on South Beach at spring break.

Sprague High School in Salem OR. Better make sure they know this before they go out into society.
