I missed an opportunity to play with Billy Joel back in the 80s. I occasionally sat in with a local band, playing harmonica. Played a few songs with them on a Saturday night and they told me to come by on Sunday and I could sit in the whole night as they were playing different stuff at a small lounge. Sunday night came around and I was tired so decided not to go.
Turns out Billy Joel, with his wife Christy Brinkley and her sisters came out to the lounge that night. Joel sat in with the band part of the night. Yeah, I blew it.
