They are the highly intelligent moderates on the board....definitely the top contributors on the board and we should be thankful for them taking the time to share their infinite wisdom with us.
I'm not convinced COH should on that list, he's a contrarian and a lawyer. The rest probably should wear helmets while sitting on the couch.

That's most of the board - including this thread that set me off: liberal protest/trespass good. Conservative protest/trespass bad. Conservative grift bad. Liberal defalcation. Nothing to see here. Who's acting is dispositive for some. Then this tunnel vision is exacerbated by relying on links that at best are half right. Almost everything re Mccloskeys linked was wrong. I know all of the lawyers involved personally. Hell the paper didn't even get who was doing the representation right much less understanding the neighborhood.

IIUC (but I'm too lazy to look it up) by law the State of Emergency could only last for a limited time (seven days maybe?) before Parliament had to weigh in and extend it or end it.
I'm not sure the number, but I think you are right, Parliament had to eventually approve it to keep it going.

I think he really thought he could get away this long term being a tyrannt. I think he is shocked even in very liberal canada he got so much push back. No way he ends this if polls were not so bad for him. I think Biden was likely rooting for him as I suspect biden would love to be every bit the tyrannt if he could get away with it in the usa.
