Maker CEO Dale Dougherty has harassed Wu online for weeks, alleging that she's only a model who serves as the face of engineering projects completed by a team of men. An anonymous blogger, meanwhile, wrote a "debunking" post that has since been disproven. Doughtery has also apologized for questioning Wu's identity. "I was wrong, and I'm sorry," he wrote. "I failed on Sunday and learned a valuable lesson from all of you about that. I can do better—and I will."

Wu is indeed an actual person, as Newsweek confirmed when she agreed to be interviewed. And she says she's feeling the financial effects of the tech-bro smears.

I am sure if you tried hard enough you could find others similar -- they are the Hardware Silicon Valley of the East.

I had some interesting days in Foshan (nearby) many years ago. Wine & dined by the mayor of that city to get us to invest there. Amazing what can be achieved despite not speaking Mandarin. I thought I was in love then or that night anyway.
