I read today that the GOP has basically assigned members to a rotating schedule of voting against Gym. Some who voted for him in round 1 voted for him in round 2 and vice versa. This will continue in Round 3.
It's obvious there is a concerted effort to flip him the bird.
The 'Gaetz Crowd' as you put it represent several million American voters, and many millions outside their districts with similar views
