broilees were "all in" on MHall for 2 years, and very confident that they would land him. The excuses will be funny to read. broilees were "all in" on TJD, KBrooks, and now MHall. silly broilees....

What whining? Sure I'm disappointed that they didn't land this kid. Let me ask you this. With all that's gone on at Michigan St would you want your kid playing there? That's what I don't get. Whether the kid ended up at Purdue or Iu or Michigan St, which environment honestly stinks of cover ups and coaches allowing things to go unpunished? I guess if you win then the hell with principles.

Well if you're indicating that he is not much of a recruiter than you must be saying he's a helluva coach. He's had solid seasons the last 3 years winning at least 26 games. Not too many BIG schools can claim that. And yes, that streak probably ends this season.

Funny that the writer talks about Purdue's "loaded 2019 recruiting class"......2/3 of the posters on here would be bitching about that class if IU had the same class...........
I would say that he's a solid coach who gags when it really counts.....that would appear to be his history.

I love MG to death, wish there was a way he could have made it to Bloomington (New Castle is an IU town). He’ll be a really good player at Purdue. But as much as I love the kid, you can’t compare him to Keion. Or Trayce.

Choppy, you are still sloppy in your thinking. With all that has gone on at MSU, including MSU recruiting him for all of 2 months and pu recruiting Hall for over 2 years-Hall still chose MSU. The $hitty campus, the whiny fans, the lack of tourney success, Fatt Matt, the legend of HogHead Keady-it is an impossible sale to talented players.
Speaking of Unpunished actions by the coaches-just THIS YEAR HaaSTD knowingly infects at least one pu coed and it is covered up till after the broilees blow another tourney game. Do you really believe the broilee coaching staff knew nothing of HaaSTD and his ruining of this girl's (and others?) life. Nothing was done, there has not even been a comment that I know of from PorkChop or any sports administrator. I wouldn't badmouth MSU, as broileeland has their own shameful cover-ups.
Crean was a better recruiter, or maybe IU is just easier to recruit to.

In legal docs I saw the infected girl had filed a motion in either September or November of last year - before the season began. CMP and staff made the conscious decision to play Haas.
You are dead right, the staff was well aware of Haas' and his decision to spread his diseases...yet no actions taken...
..and when the suit surfaced less than ONE WEEK after the broilees lost, no comments from pu staff. Strangely, broilee fans have ignored this too, choosing to criticise MSU and pretend HaaSTD did not exist.

I think Painter would have a little bit more success at IU. I think Archie is the better coach, but I’m not sure if, under the same circumstances, we would have fired Painter if he was here. I’m just glad we’re not stuck with always being slightly above average, and that we’ll start continually being top 15 to top 10.

It wasn’t that long ago when Creans practices could have been held at a police station. You even had one player run over another player. And those actions don’t even come close to what’s been going on at Michigan St. Can we agree on that?

What I stated was that as a parent, I would have no problem sending my kid to MSU vs that hellhole in Laffy. What is your opinion on HaaSTD and how the pu coaches and administrators handled it, as they were aware of the situation prior to the season? No broilee wants to address that, but you love talking about MSU and now IU from 5 years ago. Choppy you are sloppy.
Until we beat the boilers I’ll give painter credit. He’s been consistently good. Teams play hard. He gets a lot out of his guys. It’s good that we are pointing up. Can’t wait to play them. Glad we both don’t suck. I hope we kick their ass and they hope they kick ours. That’s the way it should be. Go Hoosiers!
Izzo would still take Keion if he wants to commit, but I think Hall going to MSU does lower their chances of getting him slightly.
Hate to say this but, yes, he did. DD was drug underneath EH's car. One of the most sickening pictures I've ever seen.
There is just a darkness in WL. I don't know if it is the town, the campus, Painter's personality, or their colors.
It would be interesting to hear why recruits don't choose PU.
I can't speak to basketball recruits (I'm 5'9 with no basketballs skills whatsoever!), but when I was in HS I was thrilled to get accepted to Purdue to study computer science. And I immediately got into the rivalry and hated IU! But my parents convinced me to visit both campuses, even though IU sucked pretty badly in computer science at the time. And after walking both campuses... I was sold. From that moment on, there was no way I could imagine myself at Purdue. It was cold, sterile and devoid of life. And while Bloomington was actually colder in temperature that day, the campus felt warm and inviting. It was a place I could see myself staying for four years. And while I started with my chosen major at IU, the program was so bad that I had to decide to transfer or choose another field of study. I stayed at IU.
A darkness in WL? It was such an unappealing place to me. I couldn't imagine being there. Maybe basketball recruits feel the same way.

I understand my correction seems a subtle difference, but facts matter. In this case what you said implicated Holt which is far from the truth. It's like when grads and others say "Knight pulled his team off the court vs the Russians" (you are not an IU grad, but you did defend this notion). That is not technically what happened. Facts matter and that has been one of your many struggles here over the years.
