Mackenzie Holmes named IUWBB Grad Manager

First step to a coaching career.
She was drafted in the third round which is no guarantee of making a roster. She will need this year to rehab and then try and make the Seattle team for 2025. Good luck to her.
I watch the Fever only because of Grace and since Grace never plays I have not watched the last few games.

Yes getting the top player in the draft at guard did reduce Grace’s minutes.
My guess is Grace will get traded to fill in for an injury.
Unless the Fever is expecting other guards to leave.

Grace is used heavily in Marketing materials but not much on the floor. A trade would be in her best interest.

Both. Mack is a class act who will play a short time and then coach IMO
Could be a shorter playing career, I don’t know. At 6’ 3” she is a short C or PF and maybe not a good enough outside shot to be a wing.
I have tried to follow Europe, both for Grace last year and now for Sarah, but cannot figure out how. Not good enough computer skills.

Wish her only the best. Such a trooper

They may be persona non-grata around the men's team but the Hysterics did a good interview with Mac about this and it's worth a listen. Regardless of what you think of them (and I think they are generally goofy and don't like a lot of their schtick) they do get some good guests and have had some good interviews outside of men's bball (Jerry Yeagley, Mackenzie Holmes, Sara Scalia). The Yeagley interview was one of the best I've ever heard for IU athletics I thought.

I'd be pretty shocked if she didn't make Seattle's roster if she gets her knee healthy. She's a 4 in the WNBA, and she can shoot from 3 well enough for floor spacing as a 4. She won't be an all-star, but she's certainly good enough if healthy, to start in the WNBA eventually.

No way I'd bet against her.
